The next day during newspaper Jack went up to me. "Hey Ella, I was wondering if you would-" He started to scratch his neck. "If you would-"
"Yeah, what would you like me to do?" I pulled all my attention on Jack. Is he going to ask me out? "If you would...help me set up my computer. Yeah." He started to act cool. "Oh, right. Ok." He led me to his desk and I helped him set his password and user up for his computer.
"Thanks Ella, your the best." I blushed. I started to head back to my desk when Jack called back to me. "Ella, I have something else to say." I turned to him. "Yeah?"
"Would you, like to," Hack took a deep breath before saying. "would you like to write an article with me? It is my first, and I was planning on interviewing some people. I suspected since everyone knows you." He trailed off.
"Is this what I think it is?" Jack stared at me. "Are you asking me out?"
"What, pff, no. I just needed someone to help me, to help me feel a bit more comfortable." But deep down I knew he was asking me out. "Ok, when should we meet?" I asked.
"Maybe, tomorrow. 8:00pm. We'll be investigating the school." I nodded. "Sure, I'll be there. Or here."
We giggled together. As soon as the bell rang, signaling newspaper to be over. I walked out the hallway, I went into the girls bathroom into a stall.
I cried out. "YES!" A couple times before leaving the girls bathroom.

I took Charlie out of my backpack to stop her annoying scream. "Seriously, what do you put in there? All your week old gym socks and moldy cheese?" Charlie asked. "No, but I think I had once filled it with trash before. Old disgusting trash." Charlie looked at me disgusted. "Why would you do that?"
"Relax, it was just a joke." Charlie dropped her shoulders.
"Well, well, well Ella Heck is humorous. I would've never guessed" Charlie crossed her arms. "I've taught you well." Charlie said with pride. "Apparently you have." I said sarcastically. "Watch your tone, I gave you a love life you know."
"Really, then how come I got a date without your help?"
"Oh please, you wouldn't even be noticed by a those guys if it weren't for me. You should be thanking me." Charlie said.
"Fine, thank you for your assistance."
"What, I helped you out entirely! You are nothing without me!" Charlie yelled.
"Yet again, just a joke." Charlie seemed to calm down a bit. "Tell me thank you again." The picture said.
"Ok, ok, thank you Charlie, for giving me a love life." Charlie held her chin up. "Your welcome, now I'm tired after fixing your mess of a wardrobe. And hair. And look. Good-night." She passed into the picture with my bed, changed into PJs by snapping her fingers and the PJs popped on, slid underneath her/my covers, and turned off the side table lamp.
I decided to do my homework until dinner time.
