Skye’s P.O.V

I wake up to the constant beeping of a heart monitor. I slowly open my eyes to three nurses and two doctors hovering over me. Two nurses are drawing blood; one doctor is checking my eyes with a flash light and the others are reading the machines hooked to me. I turn my head and notice I’m in an all white washed room. I try to speak but my throat is scratchy and sore. “Don’t try to over to it honey, you where in a car accident” I scrunched my eye brows together confused, car accident? I try to think back to what happened tonight but my head starts to hurt. I place my hand to my head and immediately a nurse runs out of the room for some reason. Seconds later she runs back in with aspirin and a cup of water. “Do you want to sit up?” I nod and she helps raise the bed up so I can sit up. I take a sip of water and tilt my head back and throw one pill in and swallow, then repeat for the second pill. The nurses and doctors start to file out of my room; one nurse stays back checking my IV. She places her hand on my shoulder, “If you need anything just hit the nurses button and I will be right by your side” I smile at her and nod okay. She leaves the room and I drink the rest of my cup of water. The cold water feels amazing on my throat, I hit the nurses button and the same nurse comes in. “Yes you binged?” I chuckle at the way she used her words. “Yeah can I have more water and can I get up and walk or nah?” she looks at me weird, then brushes it off and walks out. She comes back with a pitcher of ice water, “And yes you can walk if you feel up to it” I nod and she helps me out of bed. When I stand I stumble but catch my balance but scaring the nurse half to death. “I’m fine really” she stand there holding my arm for 5 more minutes just to make sure I was no lying. She insisted helping me to the door just to make sure I was alright. As she opened the door and turned right, I turned left and started wondering the halls. I should have known, that I would have ended up lost cause that’s just who I am. I wonder down halls passing patients of all different ages. Little kids to senior citizens, I came to a fork in the hallway. I stood there pondering whether or not to take the left or the right. My instincts told me to take the right hall, so I turned down the right passage way. Along this hallway was nothing really but empty offices and creepy paintings, like really is an up close painting of a boat supposed to make me feel better I think not but I digress. The hallway came to an end with only an elevator. I didn’t feel like walking all the way back down the hall and try to retrace my steps back to my room, so I hit the elevator button and waited. After what felt like an hour but really like 2 minutes, the elevator finally showed up. I walked in and looked up and down the buttons I could choose and I finally decided I should go to the lobby and see if anyone looked familiar to get some answers of what the hell happened. As I waited, the elevator started to play soothing Jazz music, at first it was relaxing but after 5 minutes it started to get annoying. The elevator reached the lobby, and I hurried off it and walked into the waiting room. I scanned the room and didn’t really recognize anyone sitting in the room. I sighed and started over to the information’s desk when I heard a phone ringing. I looked around and saw no one reaching in their pockets for their phones. So I looked around and saw a sign that said payphones and pointed towards this off branched hallway. I walked over and the ringing got louder. I found the phone that was ringing and stood their debating if I should answer it. I took too long to make a decision and it stopped ringing. I went to walk away but the phone started to ring again. I quickly picked up the phone,

“Hello?”

“Yes is this Skye Diamond?”

“How do you know my name?”

“I’m with the CIA”

“Why am I talking with the CIA?”

“Just wait where you are”

I drop the phone and walk back towards the lobby. I could still hear the person on the other end still talking telling me to stay put. I walk out of the narrow branched off hallway and start to walk back to the elevator. A person starts walking next to me holding obnoxious big balloons. The person hands me a dark blue hoodie, “Put this on” “What?” I asked confused.  The person moves the balloons out of their face to revile my house keeper, “Cynthia, what are you doing here?” “There is no time to explain Skye, we got to get out of here…put that on…walk behind, me cover your face from the cameras” I do as I’m instructed I fall back behind the balloons and slip on the hoodie, throwing up the hood to cover my face even more. “What do you have to do with all of these?” we turn a corner, “I’m a friend of your mothers” I slow down and place my hand to my head, “wait…” Cynthia stops and turns around, “What?” I remove my hand and look her in the eyes, “Someone brought me here” she looks at me with a stern expression, “There is no time” she starts to walk again but I stay put, she notices that I’m not following and turns, “I’m not leaving them here” she sighs, then she puts her hand to her ear and stares off into the distance, “Their here already”  We start to walk again and I spot my nurse, “Hey” shit I never got her name, but she looked up and smiled. “Skye, I see you are doing just fine, is there anything I can do for you?” I look at Cynthia, who is hiding her face behind the balloons. I look back at the nurse, “Yes, was there anyone with me when I came into the hospital?” her smile grows a little and sparkle came to her eye, “Yeah matter of fact he carried you here bridal style” a guy carried me here, I just pushed the thought way, “Yes do you know what room he is in?” she points down the hall, which are luck is three rooms down from where we are. I see Cynthia look a crossed the nurses’ station we are at and quickly grabs my arm and pulls me to the room with my mystery savor. I pull back the curtain, to see a really hot looking boy. He was Mexican with dark brown hair with brownish hazel eyes and a body that you could tell he kept toned and in shape. His face brightens up when he sees me and then darkens when he sees Cynthia, “This is um my…” Cynthia cuts me off, “There’s no time” she grabs the cute boy’s arm and walks us out the room. As we walk out the room Cynthia stops dead in her tracks. She puts back up the balloons, “Go fast” We make it down the hallway with Cynthia telling us “Faster” We turn down another hallway, this time Cynthia is practically running. We come a dead end and I start to panic, “Take the exit, go left” Cynthia whisper-screams. We break out into the parking garage, “Which one?” I spoke quickly out of breath. Cynthia points to a silver Range Rover, “Over here” we race over to the Rover and I open the passenger door and Cynthia lets goes of the balloons, “I hate balloons” she says opening the driver door. We pull out of the parking garage with two black Eclipses fallowing us. I look over to Cynthia, “Who are you really?” without looking from the road she says, “I’m one of your keepers Skye, I’m put in place to look after you, it’s the agreement that I made with your mother, if something like this ever happened” she looked over at me. The cute boy spoke up, “This is crazy, call the police or something” I look back at him, “I already tired” Cynthia looks over at me, “He has heard too much already” he freaks out a little, “What” I look at Cynthia, “Are you serious?” Cynthia looked back to the road, “As soon as you can dump those clothes” We turn down a road, “Now in less than 20 seconds, we are going to hit a soft curb, before the bridge…I’m going to slow down just enough for you to jump out” I hear a voice from the back seat, “JUMP” I place my hand to my head, “Its 30 ft down to the river” “Cynthia this is insane” I mumble but I’m guessing she heard me. She stays focused on the road, “15 seconds and remember from now do not trust anybody” I start to hear sirens, as we come up to a road block just up ahead a little. I can feel tears building up in the corners of my eyes, “But I need answers” She quickly looks at me, “You have been looking for answers for your whole life, you just didn’t know what questions to ask” We barrel through the road block, swerving through the cop cars trying not to hit one. “Ok, you have 10 seconds to open that door” I feel the tears running down my cheek now, “I don’t think I can handle this” I feel someone grab my hand and squeeze. I look down at the hand inter twined with mine and followed it back to the cute boy in the back seat. He looks into my eyes, “Take a breath, everything will be okay” Just then, we come up to the soft curb and Cynthia screams, “NOW JUMP” Without hesitation me and my mystery savor jump from the moving vehicle. We tumble down the hill as we hear the seirns continue to follow Cynthia. We finally reached the bottom of the hill and I hit my head on a rock. My vision gets really blurry; I heard an explosion in the background coming from the direction Cynthia drove towards but I close my eyes and blacked out.
