Malon awoke two days later. The wound Majora gave her would scar. So would many other wounds inflicted over the years. They were all in the name of Hyrule, so she didn't mind.

There were memorial services for Nabooru and Darunia. They were laid to rest in a tomb behind a waterfall, where all the sages would be buried eventually.

Majora's Mask was given to a Very Shaken Mask Salesman who left immediately after, muttering something about Astrus being lost.

Ganondorf's body was burned and hidden away.

Link's was buried with his mother, at Lon Lon Ranch.

Sun shone brightly the morning of Zelda's coronation. The princess in question was still in bed at 11 AM.

"Zelda! Malon! It's coronation day, you have to be up now!" Impa yelled from outside the door, knocking beforehand.

"Impa, this is the first day I've been able to sleep in! We'd appreciate it if you let us have 5 more minutes." Zelda said, yawning.

"Teenagers." Impa thought and laughed as she reluctantly agreed.

Zelda wore a simple white gown with her triforce pendant around her neck. She walked through the temple of time, where Impa was waiting to crown her.

All of Hyrule lined the streets of Castle Town and the surrounding area, to see the Princess become a queen.

The procession went on a winding path, circling the main square and following up to the temple. Only a few select people got to enter the temple. It included Malon and the surviving sages. Zelda knelt before Impa's feet.

"Do you, Zelda, swear to uphold the Hylian values of valour, courage and wisdom?" Impa began, ceremoniously.

"I swear." Zelda replied.

"Do you swear to be fair and just in your judgement?" Biggoron asked, supressing a smile.

"I swear." Zelda repeated.

"Do you swear to protect all peoples, no matter what species they are?" Ruto asked, proud of her best friend.

"I swear."

"Do you swear to protect the independence of the peoples court paravail to you?" Twinrova asked, joyful that they were free.

"I swear."

"Do you swear to defend all peoples when under threat?" Saria and the Deku King asked.

"I swear."

"Do you swear to help make Hyrule a better place?" Malon asked, somewhat failing to keep a smile supressed.

"I swear."

"Do you swear to never leave the peoples you govern and care about behind?" The Twilight Queen, Midna asked.

"I swear."

"By the power vested in us, by the goddesses, Din, Farore, Nayru and Hylia, we now pronounce you Queen Zelda the Hundred and Eleventh." All beamed at Zelda as Impa placed the crown on her head. "Rise, your majesty and greet your subjects."

The carriage took Zelda and Malon back to the castle.

A few weeks later, Malon was taken unexpectedly to the temple of time, where all the leaders of the species had gathered.

"Do you, Malon, swear to defend the land of Hyrule in battle, for as long as there is conflict?" Biggoron began.

"I swear." Malon said, realising what was going on.

"Do you swear to uphold the values of a knight of the realm?" Impa said, smiling at the child she helped raise become a woman.

"I swear."

"Do you swear to defend all peoples equally?" Midna said, solemnly.

"I swear."

"Do you swear to always fight for the side of right, no matter the cost?" Ruto beamed at her best friend.

"I swear."

"Do you swear to always defend the defenseless?" The forest peoples asked.

"I swear."

"Do you swear to uphold the Goddesses' values at all times?" Zelda asked.

"I swear."

"By the power vested in us by the Goddesses, we knight thee Malon of the Light." All chorused as they took knighting Malon in turn.
