The Demons Wife [Meliodas]

Everyone was either training or encouraging Elizabeth. Meliodas and I were having more alone time outside looking at the sky. We didn't speak, just enjoyed the silence. I look at him and smile, he turns to look at him with a big grin. He cups his hand around my cheek, "So beautiful," He comments.

"Yes, this day is amazingly beautiful," I say with a smile.

"I agree and you are as well," He says and rolls so he half over me and half not, "Want to know something?"

"Tell me," I smile and lift my hand up then tangles my fingers in his hair, "Tell me anything you want."

"You're only in my mind," He says and I feel my cheeks heating up, "If this is what my mind was like truly 3000 years ago, I can't believe some power was that strong," He says and I frown in confusion, "No one else, just you and how much I'm in love you. I'm head over heels for you as the humans say," He says.

I wrap my arms around him pulling him down, "I love you too, I'm in love you as well. I know I'm head over heels in love with you," I look at him as he looks at me, leaning down and pepper kisses my face, "I don't remember marrying a cutie pie," I giggle, "I remember marrying a cold and almost a cold-hearted demon who just wanted power."

"You calling me cute?" He questions with a smirk.

"Yes I am and I love it," I giggle and he sits up, "So what happened with the Holy Knight honey?" I ask sitting up, "You came back looking very hurt, almost like the time with Gilthunder."

"I guess..." He sighs, "I wasn't expecting the Holy Knights to have acquired so much power," He looks at me, "Darling if we're not careful... We might not be any match for the next time. With us not being at our fullest, where we are now, we may be nothing," He says and plucks a petal off a flower and puts it in his mouth, "Sweet!" He spits it out. 

He breaks a twig off a growing tree, "I guess, I have to let it go," He swings it.

"Meli," I say and he looks at me, "Wheres the demon blade?" I finally ask the question that has been digging at me.

He doesn't answer me and whips the branch, the pressure cuts through the mountain. He jumps down the to the level below us and helps me down, "When shooting stars traverse the heaven in a cross," He says and we both walk.

"Britannia will be met with an enormous menace. It will signal the beginning of a trial, preordained since ancient times," I continue as we walk forward through the split mountain.

"And mark the onset of a Holy War. Between a guiding hand of light and bloodline of darkness," Meli says, "Is that it?" He mutters, "Ahh, then let's finish it," He adds seeing Ban, King, Hawk, Diane and Elizabeth waiting for us on the other side. 

They call out our names quietly, "I promise... For the one who always fought alongside me... That this war that has been repeating for 3000 years... Will be settled this time, once and for all!" He glares forward and I grip his hand.

"Then we can forget the horrors of what the war will be holding," I whisper and look at him, "We can do this right?"

"We can and we will," Meli said pulling me into his hard chest and I notice the different scent coming off him, "We will move on from this quicker than we have before," Meli whispers.

"You smell nice... A clean musky and lavender darkness," I describe and he chuckles then I smile nuzzling my head into the crook of his neck, "No more lavender, lemon, rose and chamomile," I whisper.

"Do you like the new scent?" He asks and I nod, "Good."
