Dylan sat on the couch. His anxiety rising as he waited for Alex to come back. He was thinking about how rushed Alex seemed when he woke up early that morning.
Dylan yawned as he walked down the stairs. He stopped when he saw Alex sitting in the dim light, tying his shoes quickly.
"Where are you going?" Dylan asked, walking towards the couch.
"I've got to go visit one of my deputies for something," Alex replied, looking at the blonde teenager.
"When are you coming back?" Dylan asked, sitting down next to Alex.
"Hopefully soon, but this isn't really a normal visit. I'm going to interrogate this man," Alex explained
"Is this for my mom?" Dylan asked
"It is and I need you to be strong for your mother and I, especially your brother," Alex replied
"Do you think you're not coming back?" Dylan asked, his voice shaky to the thought of losing Alex, the only person watching out for him and Norman.
"I hope I will but if I don't, don't freak out. If anything happens, hide in my bathroom with your brother," Alex explained.
Dylan nodded.
Hours had passed since Alex had left. It was noon and Dylan didn't know what to do. What if the man who took his mom came after them?

Norma woke up in the back of a car on top of Alex. Her eyes wide and her heart racing as she realized she might be saved but realizing she was in the back of Shelby's Jeep.
She went to speak but her mouth was shut with duct tape. She rolled off of Alex and sat up slowly, her body sore from everything Shelby had put her through.
The car stopped and that's when Alex woke up; his eyes hazy. His eyes got wide when he saw Norma but anger rose when he saw bruises on her face and arms.
The back of the car opened and Shelby held a gun at Norma and looked at Alex.
"If you even try to attack me or run, she's dead," Shelby snapped.
Alex nodded; he was unable to speak due to the tape over his mouth. Shelby helped Norma out of the car and watched as Alex slowly got out of the car and walked in front of Norma.
Shelby led them to a room inside Keith Summers boat. Alex walked in and Norma walked behind him until Zach grabbed Norma and shoved her against the wall. He ripped off the tape on her mouth and kissed her fiercely. Norma kissed back but had a few tears running down her cheeks.
He pulled back and wiped the tears off of Norma's face.
"What's wrong?" Shelby asked, stroking Norma's cheek with his calloused thumb.
"I-I don't want to be here," Norma broke down.
She had been trying to get away for almost two weeks and now she was stuck on a boat.
"You'll like it here, it's better than my house," Zach whispered, kissing Norma who refused to kiss back.
Shelby pulled back and took the cuffs off of Norma, then handing her the key of Alex's.
"Take his off when I leave," Zach demanded.
Norma nodded and looked down. Shelby walked to the door and opened it, "Don't try and get out. The windows are locked and the door locks from the outside.".
Norma's heart dropped when she heard that there was no way out. Zach motioned for Norma to walk to him and she obeyed.
He wrapped his greedy hands around Norma's waist and smiled, "I'll be back for you tonight.".
Norma looked into his eyes and looked sad and fearful. Zach kissed Norma's forehead with a chuckle and left the room, closing the door, and locking it.
Norma walked up to the door and watched Zach leave; she sighed and turned to Alex. She walked over to him and ripped the tape off of his face.
"Are you alright?" Alex asked, his voice hoarse from him not talking for awhile.
Norma gave him a small smile and nodded, walking behind him and taking the handcuffs off of him.
"How did you get into this mess?" Norma asked, walking over to a pile of blankets and sitting down.
"I came looking for you. I kind of had a feeling that it was Shelby but I had no proof but we got more proof from having one of my detectives scanning Zach's DNA," Alex explained, taking a seat in front of Norma.
"I'm sorry," Norma apologized, looking down at her pale and skinny hands.
"Why are you sorry?" Alex asked
"Because this is all my fault. I got myself into this mess and now I've got you into it," Norma groaned, laying down.
"Hey, it's okay. He's just a psychopath," Alex stated, wanting so badly to reach out and hold Norma.
"But I'm the idiot who invited him! I'm the reason you're here!" Norma cried, feeling her frustrations getting to her.
"You're not idiot and I'm here because I was going to beat the shit out of him before my unit raided his house," Alex explained, examining Norma's bruised legs.
Norma sat up and scrunched her eyebrows in confusion until she realized he was looking at her legs.
"He did that when I fought back when he slapped me. It looks worse than it really is," Norma explained, then covering her legs with a blanket.
"What about your arms?" Alex asked, "They look awful.".
Norma looked at her arms and the scratches that were there; they truly were awful.
"He drugs me up so he can have his way with me if I get too violent when I fight back. Again, it looks worse than it really is," Norma stated with a sigh.
"I wish I had found you sooner and maybe get you away from him instead of getting trapped on a boat," Alex stated, looking into Norma's eyes.
"It's okay, it's better than his stupid basement," Norma chuckled, then looking around the dusty room.

Dylan sat on the couch watching TV with Norman. They were silent and the TV could barely be heard, but there was a reason for it. As they sat in the barely lit house, there was a knock on the door. Dylan stood up and answered it, a confused look on his face as he stared at the woman on the other side.
