"Tonight was probably the most fun I've had In a while," Sophie smiled up at Tom, leaning against her hotel room door, "and I'm not just saying that cause of the thirst tweets. Spending time with you is just fun.""I feel the same way, just a shame we don't have more time together."
"True, but after all the movie stuff is over we can see each other again. And besides, there's still our premieres."
"True. But they're so far away."
"We're just gonna have to live with that," she leant up and pulled him into a hug, "I'm gonna miss you."
"I'm gonna miss you too."
Sophie kissed his cheek, Tom kissed her cheek.
Then he kissed her again, closer to her lips and continued to until he reached the edge of her lips.
"Tom," she whispered looking straight in the eyes.
Then he kissed her. And she kissed him. And everything felt right. Like everything has finally fallen into place. Like he had never broken her heart. And then one this led to another and the next half an hour or so went by in a daze.
Sophie stared at the ceiling of Tom's hotel room. Wondering if that was just a very vivid dream or if it actually happened.
"This was a mistake," she sat up and quickly put her clothed back on and made her way to the door, with Tom stumbling to put on his sweatpants to stop her.
"Sophie don't go-"
"I have to."
"Why?" Sophie bit her look at averted her gaze to the floor, "we weren't drunk. We were sober. So we both knew what we were doing."
"This shouldn't have happened."
"Tell me honestly that you regret it."
She didn't. She really didn't. But she had to lie to herself and him, "I'm gonna go."
So she left him. In his hotel room. Alone. With a broken heart
