Hospital Visits

Emma's POV

"Ma where are you at?" Henry says over the phone.

"On my way kid what's going on?"

"I don't know Ma. But she's crying and she says she's in pain or something. She looks like she's in pain she can't really talk to me. She's crying I'm scared Ma."

"She's only two months in. Get her outside we are going to the hospital No need to be scared, she's fine and everything is okay kid."

"Okay. See you soon." He hangs up and in two minutes I pull up to the house to see Henry trying to hold up a pregnant Regina. Her stomach is barely showing but I've seen her naked so I know when her body is changing even if it just a little.

"Hey baby you okay?"

"Emma I don't know what's going on. I just felt pain and I thought it was normal but it hurts so much and it doesn't feel normal anymore." She cries and I pick her up.

"Okay baby okay you're okay. We are going to the hospital now."

"It hurts so much." She cries and I kiss her cheek. I hate to see her like this. I put her in the car and close the door.

"Ma what's happening?" Henry asks. I I kiss his head.

"I don't know kid. But she's gonna be fine. I told she's fine. Get in." I put my lights on and rush to the hospital.

"She's pregnant and it a lot of pain right now. We don't really know what's going on." They bring in a wheelchair and I have to fill out her form. Luckily I know her basic information and then some.

"You can come back now." The doctor says and I nod.

"Ma." Henry says.

"I'm almost done. I'll meet you what room?" I ask.

"394, 3rd floor."

"Gotcha." I finish her paperwork.

"Thank you." I tell the front desk before running to the stairs. I get to her room and she's laying down but she looks weird. Something is wrong with my girlfriend.

"Oh hello sheriff. I thought it was just rumors. But I guess you two really are together. Lovely."

"What's going on doctor?" I ask. Whale is so annoying I swear he is. But he's also the best doctor.

"Um, you want him to hear it might be nasty for the kid."

"I'm not leaving my mom." I smile slightly.

"Her uterus is expanding. The babies are growing and since it's three of then she has to grow a lot so it's painful. She is also very small so it's really stretching her body to fit them. That's why they might be premies. So premature because if her body can't expand anymore the babies won't fit and they all will have to come out way too early for it to be healthy and safe. It's not very painful for women with only one child but it can be a lot with three so yeah it's gonna be worse. It's like cramps but ten times more painful to put it in easier words."

"Thank you. Is there anything I can do to help at all?"

"Not a lot."

"Well she can't sit in pain. I can't watch that and I won't let her. I mean anything?" I ask desperate to find a wya to stop her pain.

"Warm compresses. We will keep her overnight. She has a slight fever but should be gone in the morning but cause it's three babies we will keep her overnight. Just to make it easier on you. Since she has three children growing if anything continues to go wrong they will most likely keep her overnight. As I said she's a relatively small woman. For her age she is a bit small so they will keep her if it comes up again. But hopefully not."
