Day Five
“You’re crazy, Michael.” She chuckled as her hand found it’s way to mine.
“But that’s why you love me so much.” I smiled and pressed my lips to her head.
I looked out the car window as we drove past palm trees and beach houses. I could smell the ocean coming through the crack in the window, I took a deep breath and smiled.
“I can’t believe we’re really doing this.” She chuckled, “I’m marrying you in Hawaii.”
I smiled, “Well, Hawaii was on your list too, so why not kill two birds with one stone?”
Her soft lips touched mine, “I love you, Michael.” She whispered.
“I love you more.”
“Don’t fight with me, Clifford.”
“You know I’m right… Clifford.”
“You can’t call me that yet.”
I tucked a small piece of her brown hair behind her ear. She was so beautiful. “I almost can.”
She chuckled.
“Are you excited to marry me?” I squeezed her hand.
“Yes, very.” She took a deep breath. “I’m glad I get to spend the rest of my two month ‘forever’ with you, Michael.”
I looked down at our hands, “It won’t be just two months, Jillian. I will be with you forever.”
“I know.” She laid her head on my shoulder.
“And I will count down the days till I see you again.”
