Day Twenty-Five
"Michael," her eyes sparkled as she looked up at the Eiffel Tower with pleasure. It was like she out shone every single light in the world. "it's even prettier than I expected!"
I pulled her into my side and placed a kiss on her temple. "Do you want to go up?"
She looked at me quite nervously. "I don't know if I'm strong enough to..."
"I'll be there the whole time. I won't let you fall."
She smiled, "okay."
She held onto my arm as we began our way up the tower. The higher we got, the more I realized just how beautiful the city was. The lights twinkled in the dark and the stars blended in.
I felt her stop, pulling my attention away from the scenery.
"I can't do it Michael." She huffed, "I can't breathe."
I sighed, "Come here, I'll carry you."
She shook her head, "I can't make you do that."
I didn't listen to her, and I picked her up bridal style and carried her to the landing.
She looked out over the town and took a deep breath. "This is everything I've ever wanted."
"To spend some time on the Eiffel Tower?"
She placed her hand on top of mine, "You."
