KH|| Ventus x Reader ~ Fear

Ven was by your side every seconds he could be. He was the weaker one, always hiding behind you for protection when he could. He wanted to be the stronger one. He wanted you to depend on him for a change.

He had been there when you met Aqua and Terra, and immediatly became friends with him afterwards. The four of you were together nearly every day. Then, one day, you left. You hadn't told anyone, but it was for your fathers business.

Years later, you're back. Aqua and Terra were the first to know, seeing you at their favorite cafe. Ventus was at home, like always, just missing you, not knowing you were back.

While you remained a the cafe with Terra, Aqua journeyed to Ventus' home to inform him of your return.

And that brings us to where you are now. As kids, you and the other three would take a path through the forest. This time, it was just you and Ven, as Terra and Aqua had been requested home to finish chores they hadn't finished.

Ven had found a metal bar to hike up the side of the hill.

"Do you like Terra?" Ven surprised you by asking. You looked at him in shock before looked down, trying to hide the small blush forming.

"Where did that question come from?" You both reached the top of the hill and Ventus froze. You stopped too, curious.

"Me. Now, do you like Terra?"

You stared at Ven a moment before looking the other way.

"Um. . . I mean, maybe a little." You wiped the smile away from your face before it could form. You noticed Ven's grip on the metal bar tighten.

sHe's. MinE.

"Ven? You okay?" You took a step closer. What he did next terrified you.

Ven swung the bar at you. You dodged it, barely, and fell back to the ground.

"Ventus? What do you think you're doing?" You shouted out as you dragged yourself away from him, pulling yourself up in the process.

"Are you scared?" Ventus asked, an insane look in his eyes. You jumped up as he raised the rod up, preparing to throw it at you. You sprinted away, realizing he was trying to hurt you.

"Don't worry {Name}. I won't hurt you too bad," you heard his voice laugh evilly as you ran through the tree's, trying to remember which way was out.

"You don't need to run, princess. It's getting dark. The forest is scary at night!" He yelled, still running after you.

You ran, and you ran. Your heart was beating incredibly fast from the adrenaline and fear coursing through your body. Your legs ached, you knew they were about to give in, but you kept running, desperately trying to get away from Ventus.

'Is it safe?' You thought, slowing your pace into a slow walk, trying to catch your breath without making much noise. You heard a noise behind you, and you turned around just in time to see a bar flying at you. You gasped and fell to the ground, narrowly missing the bar.

Your body shook as you saw Ventus walk out from behind a tree, walking over to collect the bar. Before you could get up, you felt yourself being pinned to the ground and the bar was put against your neck, holding you to the ground.

"I'm going to make sure you can't run. No matter what. I'll start with your legs, then your arms, but don't worry. I'll do everything for you. Isn't that relieving?" Your {eye color} eyes welled up with tears as he pushed the bar down harder on your neck, making it difficult for you to breathe.

"It's okay now. I'm stronger. You can depend on me."
