This is gospel for the fallen ones
Locked away in permanent slumber
Assembling their philosophies
From pieces of broken memories

Your POV

I woke up as I laid down on something soft. Bucky and Steve were talking.

"They look exactly alike, I'm telling you." Bucky sounded distressed.

"It's probably just a coincidence." Steve didn't sound too sure of his words.

"You know coincidences don't happen!" He said shakily. "Not to someone like me."

"Buck."

The couple was silent. I heard a drop hit the floor.

"Rebecca was my sister, Steve. My only sister." He was full-on crying.

I heard the sudden change in his now trembling voice, each tear that fell to the floor. His emotions stressed me out.

"Buc--"

"I wasn't there for her. She grew up without me." Bucky sobbed. "I promised her Steve. I..."

I had to look now. The pair stood there, hugging each other.

"It's not your fault." Steve started as he rubbed the super-soldiers back. "They made you forget. I knew your sister, she loved you."

"She didn't love this me." He sniffled. "She loved the guy who didn't break down in the middle of the night, the guy who didn't kill the worlds most famous scientist." His eyes shifted to the ground. "No one could love me now."

At that last sentence, my heart practically broke. So, I silently got out of the bed and walked closer to the broken man. At first, I hesitated, but then I wrapped my arms around him.

"That is not true, Bucky."

"Thank you." Bucky wiped a tear from his face.

"Don't ever think you can't be loved." I felt a lump in my throat. "I'm sure Rebecca was good looking. And she probably loved you."

Bucky finally returned my hug. "You should go back to sleep."

"Yeah, g'night."

The men left the room, and I closed the door after them. I could only think about Sarah at that moment. The little girl that was my sister, her horrified face imprinted in my mind, but that was all I remembered.

"Miss, your stress-levels are spiking. Do you want me to call someone?"

"No! No." I remembered that voice from the dinner, telling Tony he had an incoming call. "I'm fine."

"I am protocolled to help any guest in the compound. " The female voice continued.

"Trust me. It's better if I'm alone." I shakily confessed.

"Alright, Miss."

I laid back down on my bed, removing my pants before going to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of metal hitting metal. With a groan, I left the bed. The room was absolutely huge. So was the bed

"Woah!" I breathed.

A window looked down over the compound. The room had a grey love seat and a big TV. A desk stood in a corner, a computer acting almost like decoration. On the other side of my bed were two doors, one lead to a bathroom and the other to a closet. My bags already placed in there.

I rummaged through my bag, happy when I found my yellow hoodie, suddenly glad that I brought so many. I grabbed yesterday's pants and took a quick shower. But that's when I noticed something new. A god damn tail.

"Why." I leaned against the shower wall. "I just woke up, I don't want to deal with this now.

I dried and, clothed myself, then cursed everything. How was I supposed to cover that tail?

Following a moment of thinking, I grabbed a belt and tied my tail down with that. It was uncomfortable, to say the least, but it worked.

I left the room and decided to do that exploring I wanted to do yesterday. I reached the kitchen where I saw a clock, 5:27 AM. Was it really that early?

I heard that metal sound again.

"Where did that come from?" I asked myself and didn't expect an answer.

"The lab on Mr Stark's floor, Miss." I almost jumped out of my hood when I heard the voice.

"Lord, don't scare me like that."

"There's no need to call me Lord, Miss."

"I didn't... nevermind."

I stepped into the elevator and asked the A.I to bring me to the lab. I expected it to be clean and well organized, but I was very wrong.

"This place looks like shit," I said as I stepped inside.

I stopped when I saw the man I just insulted, afraid that he was just going to lash out at me.

"I know." He stopped with his work. "But I don't feel like organizing."

I relaxed slightly. "Fair enough." I decided to trust him. I wasn't dead yet. "So, what are you working on?"

"A heart. Would you mind helping me?"

"A heart?" I curiously asked as I walked towards him. "Sure.

I helped Tony hold what he called an arc reactor, while he poured a glowing blue liquid into it. I wanted to know more, but I also wanted to continue exploring.

"Can I return here?"

"Yeah, see that corner over there?" He pointed at a desk with materials all around. "If you feel like doing something, knock yourself out."

"Uh... Thanks!" I liked this guy.

I left the lab to continue my exploring journey. But I quickly got bored when I only saw locked doors.

"Hey, what is your name?" I sighed as I laid down on the enormous soft couch in the living room.

"It is Friday, miss."

"So, you are Friday?" I closed my eyes. "Why do you call me 'miss'?"

"I am programmed to do so, do you wish for me to call you something else?"

"Yes. I'm (y/n)."

"If it pleases you, (y/n)."

"Now, can you show me to the library?"
