Am I broken?
Am I flawed?
Do I deserve a shred of worth
or am I just another fake, fucked up lost cause?

Your POV

"You should look at her foot, Bruce." I heard them, but I didn't want to wake up.

"I'm not that kind of doctor."

"You're the most qualified one."

"Fine, is she up to it?"

"Hard to say."

I think I was on the couch, last I remembered was lightning hitting a clock and Thor cheering for it. On my right shoulder, I felt a weight and soft breathing. It smelled like Peter.

'Well, that's not creepy at all!' I thought.

I could also feel a hand gently petting between where my ears would be, perhaps that was why I was so calm.

"That snore sure sounds like a purr." Someone commented, and that was how I found out that I purr.

"What do you think happened to her?" I was more aware now, Steve talked. "I talked to queens and..."

"You've been spending time with her Loki, has she said anything," Bucky said, concern in his voice.

"No." I felt his chest vibrate under me. "She doesn't talk much."

It almost felt like I could see what happened around me, but I kept my eyes closed. I felt the tension, the eyes on me, and I almost heard their thoughts. Someone's presence was closing in on me, a presence I had not yet significantly felt. Just as with Loki, I knew where they would be and when they'd be there. I grabbed the hand that reached out for me.

"Don't," I said, opening my eyes and meeting her's. I couldn't remember her name.

"Wanda," Steve revealed it to me.

She backed away, and I could see everyone staring at me.

"What happened to you?" The man at Wanda's side now talked.

"Vision!" Wanda scolded him.

"You wanted to know."

"What happened to me?" I scoffed. "What makes you think anything happened to me?" I thought about Phil and tears started to sting my eyes. "The man I considered my father left me, that's all."

"I see why they connected then." I heard Thor say unusually quietly.

By now, Peter had woken up, slightly flustered from sleeping on my shoulder.

It would be evident that that wasn't all. But I didn't want to seem attention-seeking.

"Yeah, no," Tony spoke. "Let's call this a night, plus, we need to check your foot."

They didn't allow Loki to come with as they clearly couldn't stand each other. But a part of me was okay with that, Tony did after all remind me of Phil.

They took me to an infirmary, it was dead empty.

"Please, do take a seat." Bruce motioned towards a bed before walking off to get what he needed.

"So, (y/n), do you have a last name?" Tony handed me a small device. "Put your finger where the arrow is, you'll feel a small needle."

I did as he said. "Uh, yes, (l/n)." The needle still surprised me.

"Sorry for the wait." Dr Banner returned with a small bag. "Right, how does it feel now?"

"If I think about it, it hurts a little."

We continued to do a few tests, somewhere around halfway done, Tony left to his own lab.

Tony Stark's POV

I sat down at a desk in my big lab. This girl we knew nothing about, just joined our lives so suddenly one day.

"Friday, do a search on (y/n)(l/n)."

I proceeded to test her blood, maybe I'd find a match on that if I didn't on the name.

When I realized it would probably take a while, I started designing something.

Apparently, it was hard to keep it down upstairs, so I played some AC-DC.

"Sir, you have an incoming call from May Parker," Friday announced.

"Answer. Yes?"

"Hi, so I've talked to Midtown, and they are giving Peter about a week off." I heard Happy in the background. "I'm staying at F.E.A.S.T., but I think Pete should stay with you."

"Sounds great."

"How's (y/n) doing?"

"She spent a whole day with us today, she even fell asleep around us."

"That's progress." I could hear her smile through the phone. "What do we know about her?"

"Well, her father or something left, and her foot is hurt." I sighed, that wasn't a lot. "But I am running a test on her name and blood."

"Let me know," May said before hanging up.

A low beep rung in my ears. The test was done.

"Well, Friday, did you find anything?"

"No sir, her name had no matches."

I proceeded to look at her blood test, still nothing. I was about to look further into it when I heard someone talk to me.

"Tony Stark." I turned around to see a man with a red cape. "I'm Doctor Strange."
