".... And that is why Edgar Allan Poe is the best writer of all time and why we should read more of his work in school." I looked around the class of my 1st block as I read the last line on my paper. I smiled as my class mates all stared at me like I was crazy. Wouldn't be the first time. I handed my paper to my teacher and walked back to my seat. Mr. Harrision cleared his throat and shook his head. "Umm yes. Thank you, Ms. Moore. Who is next?" I sat down in my seat at the back of the class and frowned as one of the cheerleaders got up to present her paper. I looked out the window and zoned out. I always zone out in my classes. It's not like it was going to effect my grades. I was passing all of my classes with high Bs. I didn't see the point in coming to school. But I still had to come. My adopted parents told me that I still needed to come so I could have a social life. I do have a social life. I have 4 of the best friends anyone could ask for. We were the only gothics in the school. The rest of the people here were either jocks, cheerleaders, nerds, weirdos, or the people who thought that they were vampires. I laughed at the last group. I walked past one and put fake blood on my finger and they cringed away, covering their mouth. My friends and I had laughed and I had pulled the tube of 'blood' out and waved it in the guys face and tossed it to him before my friends and I had walked away.

In my group of friends there is, Blue Andrews. Her real name isn't Blue. It actually Sarah but we gave her the nickname Blue. She is 4'9 and she has ocean blue eyes. Every 2 weeks, she would have a different shade of blue hair. Thus her nickname. Next is Jackson 'Jacks' Henderson. He has black hair, 6'3, buff, and grey eyes. Jamesion Axel Thornson, we just call him James, the odd ball of the group with blonde hair, green eyes, 6'0, and kind of buff but not like Jacks. Then we have the other odd ball of the group. Cassidy 'Cass' Rose Sanders. She has grey eyes, short grey pixie hair that sometimes has the tips dyed with rainbow colors, and she is 5'2. And last but not least, me. Raveanna Luna Moore. I'm 5'7, black hair that comes just below my shoulder blades, and hazel eyes. We are the gothic group at this school and I couldn't ask for it to be any other way. Oh did I mention that we are werewolves

"Ms. Moore?!" I looked up at the sound of Mr. Harrision's angry voice. "Mr. Harrision?" I smiled at the angry teacher. "Can you answer the question that I just asked the class?" I gave a cocky smile, "I don't know, sir. Can I?" Mr. Harrision's face turned a bright red with anger as he pointed at the door. "Get the hell out of my classroom, Raveanna." My smile grew as I picked up my bag and walked up to him. I clicked my tongue several times as I shook my head as I walked past him. "One must not cuss in class, Mr. Harrision. You of all people should know that being a teacher." I smiled wickedly as I shut the door behind me. I could still hear him cussing half way down the hallway. I giggled as I reached my locker. I dumped my school stuff in and grabbed my jacket, keys, bag, and phone. I walked outside and waved at the security officer. He gave up 40 years ago from trying to keep kids in school. He nodded and I walked to the 3 cars and 1 truck parked beside each other. I smiled at my friends. They smiled back at me. "So, you guys get kicked out too?" I joked. We had this planned out. We were all going to get kicked out of 1st block so we could so we could go to a concert two states down, California , for my birthday. Seeing as it was Friday and the whole next week we had off for fall break, we were going to be renting a hotel there and just do whatever we wanted. I was turning 18. "You had to piss off Mr. Harrision again didn't you?" Cass looked over at me and I nodded. "He turned a darker red this time." We both giggled. Jacks cleared his throat. "Rave, John and Ellena okay with you coming? I mean we are going to Los Angeles. That's a 20 hour trip." I nodded. "Yeah. They're cool with it. They even said that I needed this, that it was going to be half of my birthday present." I pulled out a huge bundle of cash and my debt card. "They know I have been saving up." Jacks nodded and I put the cash away. We all have been saving to get away from this place. Everyone in our group was 18 except me and Cass. I was turning this Sunday, October the 15. While she was turning 18 the day after.

Blue lifted her head off of Jacks's shoulder, "Cass, you've got the tickets and hotel rooms taken care off right?" Cass nodded and pulled 5 concert tickets out of her bag along with to receipts. "I have the hotel receipts and the tickets. Just in case." James was the next one to speak. "Okay well we all know the plan. Cass, follow behind Rave while she drops off her car. Jacks and Blue, of course you two are riding together but just follow me back to my place. Cass and Rave, just meet us at my house since Cass lives a few house away from me. All of our stuff is there. Okay. See you all at my place." We all got into our cars. Cass did as she was told and followed me back to my house. I pulled into the driveway and sighed. John and Ellena weren't here. I grabbed my bag from the passenger seat and locked my car. I held up my hand to tell Cass I would only be a second and ran inside the house after unlocking the front door. I ran upstairs to my room and grabbed the bag that I had packed last night of other stuff I would need and then ran back down stairs. I locked the front door back and then ran inside of Cass's car. "Okay. Let's go." Cass pulled out of the driveway and I sighed. "This is going to be so much fun!! We might even find our mate." I giggled at her excitement. "Well, I think I'm better off without my mate. But I hope you and James find yours. But you also have to remember that you won't know who it is until after you turn 18." She nodded. "And on top of that, we get to see the best bands ever!!!" I giggled again. "And we get to hang out with other gothic people!" We both laughed but Cass's face turned into a frown as she pulled into her driveway. Her father was home. "Cass. It's going to be fine. Take our bags and give me your keys. Go to James's house and I'll be right behind you." I handed her both of my bags and hers as she handed me her keys. Her father walked out of the door and onto the porch, giving Cass the evil eye. "Run! Now!" We both jumped out at the same time and she took off down the street to James's house. Her father tried to follow her but I jumped onto his back. "You leave her alone you fucking piece of shit!" He shoved me off and looked at me. "You have no idea who you are dealing with!" His large fist hand came down and hit me in the cheek. I didn't feel it. I hit him in the crotch and got up, looking down at him. "I know exactly who I am dealing with!" I growled. "I'm dealing with a son of a bitch who hurts his daughter all because she reminds him of his wife that left him!" I kicked him in his gut as hard as I could. He groaned. I pushed the button to lock Cass's car and began to walk away. "Go to hell, Raveanna!" I turned around and smiled at him evily. "Been there. They threw me out." I took off running to James's house, laughing all the way.

I could tell that Jacks's truck was already packed. We were taking his truck because it had the most room. I ran up to them and smiled. Cass looked at me, "You kicked his ass again didn't you." I nodded. Jacks came over to me and grabbed my chin lightly. He tilted my head to the side. "He got a punch in?" I touched the spot where the punch had landed on my cheek. "I didn't feel it. The dude punches like a little girl." They all smiled and a few laughed. He released my face and I took my bags from Cass. "Okay I'm the first to drive." Jacks said out loud. "Shotgun!" Blue called. I laughed and we all climbed in. Cass was in the middle because James and I needed windows seeing as we all smoked except for Cass and Blue. I pulled out packs of smokes that I had bought before school. I handed James and Jacks both a pack. They both nodded a thanks. We all rolled down our windows since it was warm outside and I lit one of the smokes. I took a long drag. It had been 2 hours since I had a cigarette. We stopped at a red light and a car pulled up beside of us. It was a group of cheerleaders from school. They laughed at Blue and pointed but she didn't notice. She was to busy talking to Jacks. But I heard everything they were saying. "Oh my gosh, she is so weird." "I heard she is sleeping with Jacks to get drugs." "Eww she is such a whore." "Oh no, you guys. Raveanna is looking at us." They all looked at me and I could see the fear in their eyes. I smiled evily and flicked my still lit cigarette into the open drivers window. The light turned green and all I could hear was the squeals of the girls as they tried to find my cigarette. I giggled. I turned around and looked as I saw Blue, Cass, and James looking at me. I'm pretty sure Jacks would have been looking at me too if he wasn't driving. "You shouldn't have done that, Rave." I shrugged. "I didn't like what they were saying." Cass and James went back to talking and I turned to look out the window. 'Thank you.' I heard Blue's voice as she mind linked me. I smiled and nodded to her. She turned back around in her seat and started talking to Jacks again. I sighed and put my headphones in, deciding to drown out all the noise.

So here it is!! My new story. I hope you all enjoy it so far. Leave a comment and tell me what you all think. Also don't forget to vote. Image of what I think Raveanna would look like to the side or where ever lol. Thanks :)
