"Just breathe for me Bella," Narcissa had been saying something along those lines for 6 hours now. Most of the younger or muggle party guests had gone to their rooms. Lots however, the more experienced witches and wizards where in various locations around the Manor, waiting for an attack. Lily and and girls had insisted they stay up too, but further away to the door and closer to the kitchen. Lily was with Starla, Sophia with Arron, And Lucy was with Ana, Kirsty was awake too but with adults near a place she can easily hide, everyone agreed it was better this way.

However Bella longed for her bed. She was tired, sweaty and cold. The kitchen floor was slate and the cold tiles had managed to seep their chill through the towels and duvet she was sitting on. Not to mention her butt was getting sore for the hard tiles. The pillows behind her back and head were the only comfort she had, well that and James who continued to hold her hand.

"You're about 5 centimetres dilated, 5 more centimetres and we can start to push okay sweetheart? Just breathe, deep breaths. In and out. " Narcissa looked up at her and smiled, the warmth radiating through Bella's body and warming her a little. Draco was pacing the kitchen asking is she wanted anything, food, water, he even offered to get one of the girls to get McDonalds for her. Every time the answer was 'no get this baby out' to which he would reply 'we're trying darling, I promise, not long."

James kept placing small reassuring kisses to the side of her forehead and muttering things in her ear. He must be uncomfortable on the floor too, Narcissa as well, nearly 70 and crouched on her knees. Bella shuffled. "Are you uncomfortable?" James asked her quietly. Just then a contraction hit and Bella screamed in pain. She dug her face in James's neck and whined.

"A little, aren't you?" She whimpered once it was over about 2 minutes later. So far they were around 3 minutes apart. She kept her face in the crook of his neck, breathing in his body heat, knowing her nose was probably freezing. "It's been 6 hours."

"Don't you think we could take her somewhere more comfortable?" James said for the fifth time. "I know about everyone else sleeping but what about those secret rooms? Do they have beds in them? Like the Strange room or the Snape one?"

"No, we didn't put beds in them, we should," Draco started, "but the Strange room does have a sofa in it. It's a long walk thought."

"I can do it dad." Bella mumbles from the floor, already staring to try and get up, James gently pushed her back down.

"He means a long walk for me to carry you, but it will be fine, sir, I've carried heavier." He turned back to Bella and stood up, stretching his legs before Bella grabbed on to one and screamed again. Another contraction. "Did anyone time that gap?" Narcissa and Draco shook their heads while looking to the timer Draco had started still running from the last one, now showing 8 minutes, and it hasn't been 8 minutes since her last contraction ended. When the current one finally did Draco reset the clock with his wand and then put his wand in his pocket. He helped James pick her up and Narcissa went to get Lucia who had been sitting outside the kitchen door the entire time, as a last line of defence with Rhea.

Narcissa came back with Lucia and Rhea, who began to gather up the pillows, towels and the duvet and bundled them up in their arms. James and Draco has got Bella on her feet, balanced precariously between the two. Narcissa gave her a clean cloth to bite down on so she didn't disturb anyone on their way.

Together it took them 20 minutes and 17 contractions to get to the safe room.  They passed Sophia and Arron on the way, along with many Weasley children, wands poised, and told them to go around and tell the others they were moving. Sophia and Arron nodded, threw concernedand supportive looks and Bella then fled off down the hallway.
