It's been two weeks since my fight with Ethan. Since he told me he didn't want to talk to me. And we haven't talked to each other since.
Grayson and I talk a little time to time, but it's not the same. I don't blame him. Ethan is his brother. His twin brother. He has to be in Ethan's side, if there are sides to pick.
But I don't want it to be that way. I don't want Grayson to feel like he has to choose between us. Which is why I'm gonna ask him to come over later.
Y/n: Movie night?
Y/n: It's been too long since we've had one.
Y/n: And I know everything is complicated between Ethan and I right now, but that doesn't have to effect our friendship..Grayson: I miss my best friend.
Grayson: I'll be over at 7.Yes! He said yes! Today is Saturday, but I'm currently at target, buying toiletries that I need to buy again. It's five o'clock now, so I might as well grab snacks too.
As I was walking to the snack aisle, pushing the cart, I crossed paths with Ethan and Alissa. She was looking at something on her phone. Ethan saw me, and we locked eyes. Me being that socially awkward person, I quickly looked down and continued walking. But I still felt Ethan's eyes on me the whole time, until I turned into the aisle. Out of his sight.
I'm still upset over our fight, but I was just somewhat getting over it and moving on. That was until I ran into Ethan at Target. Out of all people. Seriously?
I grabbed some snacks that Grayson likes and what I like. I payed for all my items and left. By the time I got home from driving, it was nearly six thirty.
I grabbed the bags and walked to the front door. But slowed down when I saw the door was slightly opened. I took a deep breath to try to calm down, knowing no one was home.
*PHONE CALL*
Grayson: Hey Y/n.
Y/n: Gray? Are you in my house?
Grayson: No? I'm in my room.
Y/n: Were you in my house? And left the door open?
Grayson: No? Y/n what's going on?
Y/n: My door is open. I swear I locked it when I left.
Grayson: Oh.
Y/n: Can you come over? Please? And check?
Grayson: Of course. I'll be over right away.
Y/n: Thanks Gray.
Grayson: No problem.
Thirty seconds later, Grayson was at my door, with a baseball bat.
"A baseball bat? Really?" I said with a small nervous laugh.
"Well what am I supposed to use? My fist?" Grayson said. "Just stay outside until I tell you, ok?"
"Yes."
Grayson slowly pushed the door open with his foot, which made me laugh. He walked in, and a minute later I head him yell. "Jesus Y/n." Grayson showed up inside the house, but looking at me through the threshold. "You had me scared for nothing."
I was confused. He put the bat down, and told me to come in with his hand. I brought my bags in, and put them on the floor.
"In the kitchen." Grayson said with a goofy smile.
I walked in, not knowing what to expect. Then I saw him there, leaning up against the counter drinking from a water bottle I had in the fridge.
"Dad!"
