There was no mercy in his eyes.

He was digging bony fingers into your wrist. Hard.

Sans grinned as you winced. He couldn't wait to break you apart.

The blade of his axe traced up the side of your arm.

He held it there.

Confused you looked down; right when he sliced your skin.

Pain shot through your body, as blood seeped down. You couldn't scream.

Fear had left you silent. He chuckled, and aimed for the next cut.

Something suddenly held him back.

"What the-?"

A tight elastic bandage wrapped around his arm. Kris hung onto the ends.

Your classmate.

He yanked with full body weight making the skeleton stumble back, "Run!"

You took off in a sprint.

The human released your assaulter, joining from behind. The bandage still in one tight fist.

He pushed you behind a rock.

There was silence. You gaped at him.

He had just attacked a guy who was a giant compared to him.

Kris didn't notice, and gently took your arm, holding his bandage to it.

Gently placing it over the wound, you only felt a fraction of pain.

The human ran his finger over it, and frowned.

You both knew.

It still wasn't enough. Everything would soak, and bleed through.

He sighed quietly.

Slowly reaching behind his head, he undid his own blindfold.

Your eyes widened.

Black ooze poured from eyeless sockets.

Kris could probably sense your shock because he flinched slightly.

Quickly wrapping your arm with the bandage he faced away.

There was silence.

You slowly reached over, and touched his hand, "Thank you." Ink dripped from his face onto your knuckles.

Quietness.

He gently slipped his fingers into yours.

They were cold, but the warm feeling inside you never left.
