It was the next morning and Maya had just woken up. Waking up in her bed wasn't very weird. But the fact that she doesn't remember the past three years was. New Years Eve is in a matter of three days and she can't even remember simple things like the man she calls Dad. Maya decided after four minutes that it is probably time to get up. She got dressed and brushed her hair then she went to the kitchen.
"Morning Kiddo," Shawn said. "Hi. Can you tell me a little about yourself? Maybe it will help," Maya said. "Riley has arranged a little help meeting for you. Her uncle is coming as well. He had a big influence on you. His name is Josh. Joshua Matthews. Does it ring a bell?" Shawn asks and Maya shakes her head. "No," Maya said. "It's okay. Take your time. Why don't you grab something to eat?" "I'm not actually hungry," Maya said and poured herself some water. "You have to eat something before taking your medication," Shawn said. "Okay." "I'll make you a smoothie. Strawberries, blueberries, yogurt, ice and maybe some blackberries. How does that sound?" Shawn asked. "It's fine," Maya said. "How are you feeling this morning?" Shawn asked. "I'm okay," Maya said.
It's been a few hours later and everyone was at the Matthews. Josh was pretty nerves after hearing what Riley had to sy the previous day. He didn't actually know what he could do but he knew that he wanted to help Maya. There was a knock and Cory went to open.
"Come inside. How you feeling today Maya?" Cory asked. "I'm okay," Maya said. "Good. This is my brother, Josh. You guys were pretty close to each other," Cory said. "Hi," Maya said and sat down. "Hi. Okay where are we beginning?" Josh asked and everyone looked around. "Okay I'll start then," Josh said and sta down next to Maya giving her a photo.

"It was when we met three years ago. It was a Christmas dinner. You also met Shawn then," Josh said. "Can you tell me a little more?" Maya asked. "You fell in love with me immediately. Wasn't even needed for us to spend too much time together. We immediately clicked," Josh said. "Was there ever anything between us?" Maya asked. "No the three years age gap was too much for me. You on the other hand had no problem with it. Said you're in it for the long game," Josh said. "Okay," Maya said and Shawn handed her a picture.

"You confronted me because I was mean to Riley for thirteen years. It was just never a good excuse," Shawn said. "Why did you?" Maya asked. "Felt like I had no place in Cory's life," Shawn said. "Okay I think that's enough for now. You'll remember it as it comes back. It's not needed to overwhelm you with everything. It will take awhile but eventually you will get it back," Josh said.
