Chapter 12

It was about a week and a half later.
It was Wednesday, 10 January 2018.
Next Tuesday its Maya's seventeenth birthday and she still doesn't remember anything.
If she remembers something it's a miracle.
She was just sitting around in her room busy looking at every photo Josh has given her.
She also scrolled through her Instagram to find just a couple of other photos which wasn't helping very much.
One was off a horse.
She had no clue where that could have been.
She just saw it was in Austin.
Austin?
Why there of all places?
She did look a little further but gave up after about half an hour.

"Hey Kiddo," Shawn said.
"You have a visitor," Shawn said and let Riley in.
"I have something that will help," Riley said and sat down next to Maya.

She gave her a file full of papers and Maya opened it.
Right in front she saw the title Can't Blame A Girl For Trying.

"What is this?" Maya asked.
"You wrote music. It was something you liked. This one was very special to you. Can't blame a girl for trying. You wrote it about ," Riley said.
"I don't remember it," Maya said.
"It wasn't too long after you met him," Riley said.
"Why didn't the age difference ever bother me?" Maya asked.
"Find that out yourself. You'll remember with time," Riley said.
"I hope so," Maya said.
