Chapter 1

Riley's pov

Why on earth did it had to happen?
Why she?
Why not me?
Please let she be okay.
I can't lose her.
Please.

Maya's car accident got everybody including Riley upset.
Maya and Shawn were on their way back from school when they made a huge accident.
Shawn did survive but Maya lost conscious.
The doctors are also sure that she will have amnesia for quite awhile.

Shawn Hunter is laying in the hospital wards away from Maya.
Katy, his wife, is sitting at his bedside and trying to be positive.
She doesn't have much hope for her daughter.
And Shane knows that.

"Go Katy. Go to your daughter," Shawn said.
"Shawn," Katy said and took her husband's hand.
"They aren't allowing anyone. Maya had a rough experience. Operations and amnesia is our future. They don't think she'll remember anything," Katy said and Shawn's eyes widened.
"How is that possible?" Shawn asked.
"Maya is unconscious," Katy said.

Right there a lady in her mid to late thirties came in with her husband.

"Okay why don't we give the boys some space then you can get some fresh air?" Topanga asked.
"Yeah a walk is just what I need. Don't tire him out too much."
"I won't," Cory said and they were gone.

"You can thank yourself you aren't seriously hurt," Cory said.
"Seems like Maya isn't as lucky. What is the update?" Shawn asked.
"Nothing. She is in a coma. We can now just wait and see what will happen next. Amnesia is a possibility and they think she will also have a bit of talk struggle," Cory said.
"How did it end like this Cory? Maya might never be able to remember her own mother," Shawn said.
"That's not true Shawn. She can't have that bad amnesia. She'll be fine. You forgot that girl is as though as a log. She'll make it. Just focus on getting well yourself. Otherwise this conversation is useless."
