Her inner Winter

As the sun couldn't warm over her pale skin, her cold lips,
She knew it was the moment of her inner sun's eclipse
Only the moon brightened the lake of her frozen tears
Which witnessed her endless winter's long years
Sparkling snowflakes fell from the night-darkened sky
Seeming like ashes through the sight of her chocolate-brown eyes
Lonely she stood in the middle of the frozen lake
Surrounded by snow-covered trees which would never awake
The pain of the icy ground under her feet gave way to a feeling of numbness by now
Emotion wasn't something which the rising coldness would allow
In the midst of the deadly silence she started to dance
Knowing that this would be her last one, in advance
Struggling to coordinate her numb limb's movement
She didn't care about future but just about the moment
Slowly, with closed eyes, she waltzed about the icy dancefloor
And didn't care about anything, at anytime, anymore
Impressed by the expression of her dancing I entered the lake's surface
My body joining her waltz in a ceremony which proceeded wordless
In the knowledge that her future, our future was uncertain
I just wanted to dance with her and lift her burden
Without caring about my hurting feet which got freezing cold
I enjoyed every minute of our dance which the death controlled
As our dance was closer and the connection became stronger
I developped the wish to be the pillar among her
And with another glance into her dark-brown eyes
I hoped it was the moment of her inner sun's arise
