Dawn

Dim light
Caused by an overcast sky, yet without any sun
Which sent its clouds to the earth's surface
To cover the ground in the obscureness of mist

Empty streets
Complete the grotesque picture of an uninhabitable world
Whose only residents are the lifeless cars in the garages and parking lots
Eagerly waiting for one of their humans to wake up and start the engine

Birds' chirping
Starts to fill the remaining silence of night
Its origin positioned on every tree's branch
A sweet symphony trying to fill this strangely quiet atmosphere with life

It's that weird time between night and day
A world yet so soft, so silent, so sleepy
But the one who bleary-eyed stands on the balcony
And inhales the still moist air
Realizes the upcoming life which soon will fill this place with hustle and bustle

And finally some timid sun rays break through the sky's covering
Announcing the arrival of day
Who will thaw the frozen state in which night left us
And embrace the world with gentleness and warmth
