Midoriya yelled as he was thrown to the floor. He felt for his dagger and his gun but they were gone. He looked around. It was dark, he couldn't see anything but his hands. He backed away until he reached the far wall, trembling. He could hear his heart thumping against his chest. Suddenly, there was a small click and light flooded the room. Squinting as his eyes readjusted to the brightness, Deku realized he was in a basement of some kind. There was a small rickety bed in the corner and that was it. But he wasn't looking at that. He was staring at the people that surrounded him. "Tch. This little guy is part of Downfall? He looks like a 7 year old." The pale guy with blue hair began to scratch his neck, his glowing red eye narrowed in irritation. The purple mist put a hand on his shoulder. "Tomura, remember what he's here for."
He murmured in a deep voice. Deku shook but raised his voice, trying to sound intimidating. "Why am I here? Why did you take me?" He began to stand before he was shoved to the ground by a girl in what seemed to be a school uniform. Her blonde hair was in pigtails and she stared murderously at him, gripping a knife and giggling. He frowned uncomfortably and scooted away. "Right...you." Deku looked up as the guy he assumed was Tomura pointed at him. "You are going to work for us." He spat coldly. Confusion and anxiety drowned Deku. "What? Why do you want me?" He asked. 'Am I a villain hotspot? What is happening today?' Tomura rolled his eyes as if it was obvious. "Because Downfall recruited you, and that means you are useful." A guy with black hair and scars riddled across his face and arms finished with an eery smirk.
'Oh, so they do know about Downfall...' He thought with a frown. "Why would I join you when I am already with Downfall?" He growled, failing miserably at sounding threatening. The blonde haired girl giggled in a high pitched voice. "Oh, silly Deku! Because we are obviously better than Downfall!~" She bragged, getting a harsh nudge in the shoulder from the scarred guy. "Dabi, don't hit her!" The misty man scolded. Deku furrowed his eyebrows. 'These guys are really weird...at least Downfall isn't crazy!' He scowled up at them. "I would never join you! You are all wackos!" He shouted. "Now, let me go!" He commanded. "You obviously don't have a physical quirk, and you don't look like you have trained at all. You are just a puny teenager who doesn't know anything about combat." Dabi commented, his icy turquoise eyes glowing coldly.
"Now, now. It seems Deku needs to have some time to think." The purple mist said. The others nodded and gave him creepy grins. "Bye, bye~" The strange girl waved her hand and they all exited. Immediately, Deku rose, pacing the room. He went to the door and pulled on the handle, but just as he guessed, it was locked. "Okay, okay...Streak and the others know the league. And the league knows where they are. They have to be coming for me, right? But maybe they don't know where the league is...they must be moving anyhow since the hideout is compromised?" He muttered to himself. He ended up sitting on the bed, curled up. Maybe he shouldn't have agreed to this after all.
(Three Days Later)
The door to the room slowly opened and Dabi entered. Deku was still curled up in the bed, facing the wall. He muttered something to himself. It seemed to be the same phrase over and over but Dabi couldn't make out what it was. As the scarred man made his way over to him with a tray consisting of a cup of water and a couple carrots, Deku whipped around, tackling the villain to the ground. Immediately, he was flooded with information. 'Touya Todoroki. Villain. Quirk: Cremation. This quirk allows him to manipulate and summon blue fire from his hands at will. He is the brother of Shouto Todoroki and the son of Endeavor. He got his burns from Endeavor when he disappointed him in training several years ago.' Deku gasped and leaped back just as blue flames ignited from Dabi's hands, shooting through the ceiling. Dabi scowled. "You're going to pay for that, rookie!"
He growled. Deku's eyes widened. 'What do I do? I have no weapons and no combat training. My quirk isn't physical either! Wait...could he be effected by...?' Before Dabi could summon more flames, Deku smirked and narrowed his eyes. "Endeavor would be proud." The villain's eyes widened and he froze. Clenching his teeth, he narrowed his eyes. "Shut...up!" He shouted. Deku was just barely able to dodge as a row of flames hit the wall where he had been standing. 'The other villains will be here soon! If I am really worth something to them they won't let him kill me.' He took a deep breath and asked, "Is this really what Shouto would have wanted?" Dabi let out a yell of frustration and ran at him, fire in both palms. Suddenly, a purple portal opened in the room and the purple misty man stepped out, along with Tomura who ran over, putting his hand on Dabi's shoulder, his pinky devastatingly close to touching.
Glancing at Tomura coldly, Dabi put his hands to his sides. "You are going to die one day and I goddamn hope it's to my flames. Freaking Kurogiri..." He growled, stalking over to stand by Kurogiri. Tomura towered over Deku, who had fallen back onto the ground, exhausted. "Kurogiri, bring Illusion." He snapped, not taking his eyes off of the green haired boy, who trembled in fear. Nodding, Kurogiri disappeared with Dabi into the portal. Not long after, a girl stepped through. She had long black hair with pink tips. She grinned. "What do we have here, Tomura?" She walked over, scanning Deku up and down, sizing him up. She had a black skirt and ripped leggings, along with long boots and a crop top. "A little rat who needs to pay." The terrifying words sent a shiver up Deku's spine as he backed against the wall. As Tomura walked into the portal, it closed behind him, leaving just Illusion and him in the room.
She smirked. "You're pretty cute. Sorry about this~" She walked toward him, a hand outstretched. Deku shook his head vigorously. "No, no, no- wait, PLEASE-" As she set her hand on his shoulder the room disappeared. He opened his eyes and found himself on the roof of his school. Uneasily, he looked around. Everything seemed normal. The sky was a nice blue, clouds that looked like cotton candy drifting through the sky. Peeking over the edge, he didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Suddenly, hands grabbed him from behind, turning him to face them. He let out a sigh of relief at the face of his mom. "Mom! Oh gosh, I'm so happy to see you! These villains, they-" He blinked in confusion as something black began to leak from her eyes like tears. His eyes widened in horror as they began to gush like rivers, the black liquid beginning to swirl around his feet and run over the side of the building.
In a deep, gurgly voice, his mother screamed, "HOW COULD YOU, MIDORIYA?! HOW COULD YOU TRY TO LEAVE ME?" The sight chilled him to the bone and he began to back away, forgetting he was on the roof. He let out a scream as he fell. After a few moments, he was in the alleyway, just like he had been several days ago. "H...Huh? Is this day replaying? What is happe-" He turned around and almost gagged at the sight he saw. Streak, Sprout, Shard, Yin, and Yang walked towards him, the same black liquid streaming from their eyes and mouths. "HOW COULD YOU, MIDORIYA?! HOW COULD YOU TRY TO LEAVE US?" They screeched in sync, making him cover his ears. He stumbled backward. "I-I didn't! I didn't say yes, I didn't join them!" He stammered, terror shooting through him. As he turned to run, he was suddenly on the roof.
Before him, Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady looked the exact same. "HOW COULD YOU, MIDORIYA?! HOW COULD YOU BETRAY US?!" They screeched. Deku sobbed, collapsing onto his knees. "Please stop...please...please...I didn't mean to...." He cried, digging his nails into his head in attempts to make everything go away. Soon, the words were being chanted in his ears. Slowly, the world began to fade and he blacked out.
