This fucking sucks, Kacey should be here with us. I cry on the floor sitting next to Brynn, we have been sitting here for a few hours. Nobody else is even in the motel except for the staff.
"We should get washed up, we have to leave in two hours," Rylee speaks up. "Yeah" Teagan sighs. The four of us stand up, Rylee helps Teagan to her foot. Rylee carries Teagan as we head into our motel room.
Teagan whispers into Rylees ears. "We are going to shower," Rylee sings. "Guess somebody's getting something done today," I comment. "Shut it Cannon," Teagan snaps. "Okay fine Boss, I'll shut up now," I respond.
I look over at Brynn as Rylee and Teagan go into the bathroom, Brynn puts an arm around me. "You're going to be okay," Brynn whispers. I just realized I've never really cried in front of anyone except Teagan and Kacey. Now I'm crying in front of everyone.
I laid down on the bed, Brynn copies me. "Are you guys together?" Alex catches my attention. I look over at Brynn who's looking at Alex. "Uh yeah we're together," I state. I honestly really like Brynn. I've never felt this way about anyone before.
"I haven't dated anyone yet," Alex remarks. "You're to young anyway, give it a few years," Brynn laughs. "Yeah okay," Alex giggles. Alex is sitting on her cot, Travis is on his.
I focus my attention on Brynn once again. I think she can tell that I'm in pain, but I'm not sure. "Do you want to talk about her?" Brynn whispers. "Uh-huh," I respond. Brynn wipes a stray tear from my face. "Can you tell me a story about her?" Brynn questions.
I allow a few tears to fall down my face. "When Teagan first introduced me to Kacey, I was the new kid at school. Even though Kacey had just started high school, she made me feel welcome to the town. Teagan and Kacey were my very first friends, and Kacey knew me better than anyone for some reason, she knew all of us better than we knew ourselves." I speak.
Kacey was like that stereotypical cool aunt to me. I loved her like family. "I'm very thankful to Kacey for being close to you," Brynn remarks. "Me too," I agree. Brynn leans into me.
