After a while, Mrs. Weasley called everyone in for lunch. The kitchen was extremely cramped with so many children around the large scrubbed wooden table. Lily and Hugo sat side-by-side in their highchairs, pieces of strawberry and cheese scattered across the trays. James sat between Fred and Roxy, flicking pieces of chicken across the table at his little brother, who was trying his best to ignore him and talk to Rose. Mary was sitting beside Gretchen, her nose wrinkled watching the younger boys. Gretchen wore a similar expression on her face. Teddy and Zach were talking between themselves about the possibility of starting a quidditch game after lunch when the kitchen door opened and a tall redhaired man whose hair was shoulder length, tied in a ponytail at the base of his neck. An earring could be seen in his ear as he beamed around the kitchen.
"Happy Christmas, everyone!" the man said as he stopped in the doorway. Mrs. Weasley whipped around from her dishes in the sink and let out a shriek of happiness.
"Bill! Oh, Bill it's so good to see you!" she yelled as she threw herself into his open arms. It was while she was hugging and kissing her eldest son thoroughly that Teddy noticed someone peeking out from behind him. He craned his head to the side to try and get a better look, which caused whoever it was to jerk their head back behind Bill. Bill managed to disentangle himself from his mother and was looking down and behind him, apparently talking to whoever was behind him. He smiled and straightened up, turning back to speak to everyone.
"Alright, so I know we haven't been around for a while.... seems to be a considerable amount more of you all than when we were here last...." He said as he surveyed the room. George strolled into the kitchen and leaned against the doorway to the living room.
"Doesn't help that you're not typically around, dear brother." He said with a grin. Bill shook his head at him, grinning himself.
"Well, work makes it a bit hard to get time up here. But I made sure that we would have Christmas here this year." Bill turned slightly and motioned for whoever was behind him to come in. There were murmurs behind him, then a woman's voice.
"Oh for 'evans sake, girls, dis is ridiculous. In! In!" And with this, two girls with silvery blonde hair came shuffling in, a boy with bright red hair on their heels. The girls stood on either side of Bill, trying to hide their faces. The boy, however, looked around excitedly at everyone. The woman whose voice had been heard entered behind them. She was tall and slim and shared the same long silvery blonde hair as the girls beside Bill. She smiled at Mrs. Weasley. "It iz so good to see you, Molly." She strode over and kissed Mrs. Weasley on each cheek. Then she turned to the children. "Victoire, Dominique, come say ello to your Grandmother." The girls scurried over and hugged Mrs. Weasley quickly, then ran back to their father. The boy walked over and grinned up at Mrs. Weasley. She smiled down at him.
"And you must be Louise." She said as she pulled the small boy into a hug. He stepped back and nodded vigorously.
"That's me! I really like your house." He turned towards the table and surveyed all the other children. "Who are they?" he asked her. Ron snorted beside his brother.
"Blunt, that one, isn't he?" he whispered to Bill. Bill shook his head at his son.
"Gets it honestly at least," he said, giving a sideways glance at Fleur, who was still chastising the two girls from behind him. He smirked at them as she managed to dislodge the oldest and push her forward, her face bright red behind her curtain of silvery hair. The younger girl still clung to the back of his jacket. Fleur stood up and folded her arms across her chest.
"Honestly." She huffed. Bill laughed as he looked at the girls.
"What's the matter with you two, don't you want to meet your cousins? You've been begging to come here for weeks. Now we're here and you want to hide?" The older girl shook back her hair and looked up at her father. She had a delicate face and bright blue eyes that, at that moment, were burning with determination. She glared up at her father.
