Rescue

The next day, Ed called a meeting and we drove back to the agency. Ed told us a plan for my parents' rescue and Nathan and I agreed on the plan. I told Marie and Luciana what we were going to do and they wanted to come with us. I told them it would only make the mission more dangerous. They were sad but agreed.

We went towards the aircraft station and checked out a plane.  What we didn't know was that Marie and Luciana had crept inside.  We flew all the way to Alaska where we found was Doctor E.'s lair.  We landed a mile away just to be safe.  Then we crept through the trees in the darkness. We looked around and our spirits dropped.

"We'll never get to the cell," I said, disappointed.

There were spotlights everywhere, three guards at each wall and corner of the building, and cameras. There was absolutely no way we could get in unnoticed.

"Yes, we can! We have a plan."  We turned around to see Marie and Luciana.

"What in the world are you..." Ed yelled, but I interrupted him.

"No." I urged, "They could be useful. What did you have in mind?"

Marie told us the plan and everyone agreed since we had no other plan.  I decided I would be the one to give myself up.

"No Maggie." Nathan protested. "They're my parents," I said.

He agreed I should go and we went over the plan once again. I was going to give myself up and hopefully be taken to the same cell as my parents. Marie and Luciana would follow me unseen. I would make sure to get a look around so that if we attacked his place we would know what we're up against. Then when they locked me up Marie and Luciana would get the key and set my parents free. Then we would blast out run across the field to the plane that Ed and Nathan would have ready for a quick escape and, of course, escape.

I ran out into the open and was immediately captured. When they started to pull me inside, Marie and Luciana started following.  I was then taken toward the cell where my parents were. The guy took away my gun and gadgets then threw me inside the cell with my parents and locked it.  Marie and Luciana had hidden in another cell until the guard had left.  They appeared with keys to the cell.  I stepped out and retrieved my blaster and gadgets from a shelf.

I looked at my watch and got on my walkie-talkie saying, "Get the plane started.  Blasting out in exactly two minutes."

"Copy that." I heard in reply.

I turned to my parents who looked very surprised. I walked over to my mom and hugged her, then my dad.

"Mom, Dad, are you guys ok? Did they do anything to you?" I asked. "Were fine Maggie." My mother answered. "Ok. In one minute I will blast through this wall and we will run across the field to the plane. Then we will go home." I told them glancing at my clock. Once again I spoke into the walkie-talkie. "One minute till blast. Are you ready?" the answer came immediately. "Ready."

After a minute, I said, "Get ready to run."  I got my gun ready, aimed it at the wall then I blasted the wall and we all ran out.  I was in the back making sure we all made it. As we approached the trees I spotted Ed and Nathan ready with their guns.
