The girl with secrets

Chapter 1

A dark cloud was above me as I walked inside my grandparents house. It hit me like lightning as I breathed inside the house. I had a perfectly good reason never to come in this house. I haven't been here in years.

My feet drag across the floor as I take in my surroundings. It hasn't changed much but it looks new as the exact same time.

Then I see my grandparents sitting by each other on the couch smiling. Of course they are here today out of all days.

They hear my footsteps and their heads turn around.

They are running towards me as fast as their old legs would let them. I freeze and they give me a hug.

It's not that I wasn't glad to see them, but I had a mission. I couldn't let them see the woman I was becoming, they would be disappointed. I decided to scare them, because I thought it was better than them knowing the truth.

"Go upstairs and hide! Don't speak,don't yell, don't make any noises." I whisper.

"But you've been gone so long" my grandma cry's.

"Hello anyone here?" I yelled. I had to make sure they were safe. If my team members knew they were here they would surly kill them.

"I'm right here, can't you see me? Come back to me, my sweet Emma!" My grandma pleaded.

"Sorry grandma, I'll be back someday, but not today."

"Go now." I whispered

I watched as my grandparents go upstairs with their heads hanging low. They turned their heads to face me one last time and shut the door. It's not entirely my fault I'm in this position. I grab the container I was supposed to grab and leave the house.

"I don't see anyone" I told my teammates.

"There were people home a minute ago!" Mason said

"What don't believe me?"

"No not really, after all this is your grandparents house" Mason grins

"And you are a low life"

"And you are a coward"

"No I'm not!"

"Then burn down the house"

"But this is where I grew up"

"No it's because your grandparents are in here"

"No my grandparents died."

"Really, how?" Mason says trying to catch me off guard.

News flash I think quicker than you!

"My grandpa got ran over when he was crossing the street at the grocery store. He was there to buy ingredients for my grandmas favorite food. My grandma sat by his bed and had to pull the plug which caused my grandma to die by a heart attack."  I lied.

"O wow!" Lance said

"Your still a coward" Mason remarks.

"Give me a kiss and we won't burn it down"Lance said.

Don't give him a kiss and let the house burn down.

Or give him a kiss after our past.

It went over and gave him a soft kiss. Our lips move with each other's. Lance's kiss started to deepened and I broke it off.

"Ok everyone this way!" I commanded trying to think straight.

"Are you kidding me right now. Since you got yourself a girl doesn't mean we have to follow her every time she gives you a kiss" Mason yells!

"What are you jealous?" I remarked

"Do you want me to be?"

"Mason!" Lance warned.

"But Mason doesn't know that was my first kiss so it doesn't really matter." I teased

That was totally not true, but o well.

"Now don't act all incident all of a sudden" Mason backfired.

"Now everyone, especially Mason, march out!" I said with a grin.

"Ugh!"

"Sue me if I have a life!" I yelled at Mason.

"Suing doesn't fit you but I know what does" Lance says.

"What can possibly fit me better than that?" I asked as I gain curiosity.

"You'll have to wait and see" Lance says as he smiles and wraps his arm around my waist.
