Masons POVEmma walked out of her room making me feel helpless and hopeless.
"Emma?" I asked hoping she was close by.
There was no response.
"I love you" I whisper
I always dream that she will run back to me telling me she loves me too. It's silly though. She doesn't ever say those three words. I don't know why she doesn't say them, but maybe she feels love.
If she does it can give me hope that some day in the future she will say those three words. Maybe she won't say them to me, but if she says it to anyone I will be happy for her.
I know deep down she loves her daughter. I know for a fact that she doesn't want to admit it, because then her daughter can be used against her.
I can wait as long as she needs me to, because I have her in my life, and she is the only person I have ever truly loved.
I still remember the first time I told her I loved her.

I knocked on her bedroom door.
"Emma, can I come in?" I asked knowing full well she won't let me. She hates it when males go into her room. She feels exposed.
"Give me a second and I'll be out" she responded.
When she came out of the room she was wearing a light blue dress. It wasn't too tight and it wasn't too loose. It was in between, but it looked perfect on her. It went down close to her knees.
"What are you looking at" she sweetly asked.
"I'm just looking at how gorgeous you are" I replied meaning it.
Her cheeks flushed and she tried to hide it by turning around. Instantly I grabbed her wrist and turned her around. She giggled and her flush deepened.
"I love you Emma. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me."
I watched as her smile grew instantly and it loved amazing on her.
It didn't last that long though. A frown appeared out of nowhere.
"What's wrong Emma?" I asked frantically hoping she wasn't frowning because of what I said.
"My mom is coming home today! I'm excited to see her Mason, she has been gone to long. You have to go though Mason"
"Why do I have to leave?"
"Because I haven't seen her in years Mason. It's been me and my dad since- never mind"
"Since when?"
"Mason you have to go. I will tell you later, OK?"
"OK"
Just as I was leaving her mom walked in.
"Who are you?" she asked.
"He is my friend" Emma responded which sent a knife through my heart. I didn't understand why she didn't want her mom to know about us.
"Is that true?" she asked me.
"Yes" my voice cracked and I hurried out the door.
***
I still don't know why she told her mom we were just friends. I also don't know what happened between her and her mom that day.
What I do know is she didn't wan't to talk about her mom after that day. She broke up with me a few days later.
Up till now I thought she broke up with me because of us not being able to have a kid, but maybe it was because of her mom.
Her mom must have disapprove of us not having a wedding and trying to get pregnant. Did she disapprove of that or our whole relationship?
"Mason, dude are you ok?" Tyler wondered.
"Ya why?"
"You have been standing still in Emma's room for like ten minutes."
"Ya I was just thinking"
"about what?"
"About how I could make Emma bake me more cookies without her being pissed off."
"Ask politely?" Tyler asked and then he burst into laughter.
