When I saw Jack holding out a gun and rifle in the other. I took the the gun quitely and we remained silent waiting for any movement or noise from the outside before taking any further action.
It was quite too quite for my liking, I was badly sweating and Jack looked just as worried as me.
I was correct the window shattered in tiny million pieces, the animal had broken in through one of the windows from the lobby, bruised and hurt but still viciously growling saliva dropping like mad. His aim was me ofcourse.
Before he could jump and attack us. The riffle was fired I too shot from the gun, the beast was in the air before it landed on the ground with a .....
Smoke, no sound of dropping, no proof of existance except for the broken glass or the entrance door. Not even a trace of blood.
I dropped on my knees while I heard Jack gasp loudly, I am really hallucinating. This can't be real can it. The first part of my worries were did it die, second part am I safe.
I mean this isn't a movie and everything happened in just one day. How? And most of all why? These were the only questions rotating in my head.
Jack placed his left hand on my shoulder, I only nodded my head in stunned expression. I was trying to get up but the pain in my foot made me drop again.
So I sat with my legs streched out and both hands on my head. I was worried very badly. Jack came around me placed the gub on the ground. Hand still firmly placed on my shoulder and came face to face with me. I just gave him a tired smile.
I was ready to cry my heart out to him and so I did he placed my head on his shoulder and allowed me to get myself together before asking questions and for that I was thankful.
To be continued. ..
