Radley woke up feeling horrible. His head hurt, he was tired, stressed, oh and the whole world domination failure was still hanging over him. Not to mention the injuries he'd sustained from that too. He would've loved to have stayed in bed and slept for another month, maybe two, but he couldn't.
It was three o'clock in the afternoon when he finally crawled out of bed and wandered aimlessly to the kitchen to get something to eat. Anything really. He grabbed a box of cereal, because he'd rather be thrown into a spike pit again than put effort into cooking something.
A knock pulled him out of his thoughts. Someone hammering away on his door. He stared at it, confused. The only person he could think of that would be here was Sarge, but it wasn't like him to show up without notice. Radley opted to ignore it, since he was already doing that with everything else.
Whoever was there was not giving up however. They kept hammering on the door, and occasionally ringing his doorbell. Radley huffed, his patience running thin. He could feel his head throbbing in pain in time to the knocks on his door.
Please just go away, please just go away, please just go away-
Radley stood up abruptly and marched over to his door. He flung it open and glared down at the unwanted visitor.
It was her. The human girl again. She stared up at him and stepped back nervously. "Uh-" she murmured. "Sorry for making such a racket but I've been waiting for you to wake up all day and uh-" Radley stared at her. He would've slapped her if she didn't seem to be genuinely guilty about disturbing him. "Well I don't have anywhere to go, since I'm not from this dimension, and you're the only person I really know so..."
He glared at her, resisting the urge to just slam the door in her face. He couldn't do that, not to her. "You're still here?" Radlynn looked up at him.
"Uh..." She scratched at the back of her neck nervously. "Well I don't live here, and your place is a lot closer than Neapolitown. Plus you're the only person who can get me home."
He glared at her for a few moments, then sighed loudly. "Fine, but don't touch anything." He stepped aside, gesturing for her to come in. She stepped inside before he could change his mind.
Radley's house looked a lot better on the inside. He had a couch and a couple chairs around a fireplace that, surprisingly enough, had a tv hanging above it, and a small kitchen and dining area off to the right. There were a few doors, but that was about it. She looked over at him. Radley was just sort of standing there awkwardly, watching her.
"Why didn't you go home with the others?" Radley broke the silence
"I uh- didn't want to go back," she murmured. Radley arched a brow at her. "I wanted to stay and- and meet you." He stiffened.
"...me?" He asked, confused. She nodded. "Won't anybody be worried about you? It'll take me months to make another warp coin and take you back." He paused for a second. Was he really going to do that? Make another warp coin, just for her? Why? Why should he care about her?
"I guess my dad might be worried." She shrugged. "But that's about it." They went quiet again. Radlynn looked up at him.
"Did you sleep outside...?" He asked. She nodded. "O-on the cave floor?"
"No on a mattress," she was probably rolling her eyes underneath her hat. "Of course it was the cave floor." Radley felt just a little bit guilty.
"You're probably hungry."
"Starving." He nodded and glanced over at his kitchen.
"Take a seat, then. I'll make breakfast." He ignored the empty bowl and discarded cereal box and opened his fridge. He had to have somethi-
"You know it's three pm right? It's not really breakfast."
Somehow Radley suppressed the urge to toss her out of the house.
