AN: Just wanna say I'm increasing my upload schedule from once a week to every second Monday so that I have a little more time to work on the chapters for this, plus my other fanfiction and stories written for fun.

Radley rolled over in his bed and inhaled deeply before sighing out. He caressed his pillow and slowly opened his eyes, then winced. His left eye still hurt really badly. He sat up and sighed tiredly, letting his hand fall down again. He turned to the clock on his bedside table and squinted at it. Was- was it almost noon?! He could've sworn he set an alarm for ten thirty! He grabbed his glasses from the table and climbed out of bed quickly to get dressed.

Radley stepped out of his room and stopped. He was greeted by the smell of waffles, Shida's waffles to be exact. He knew the scent anywhere. He was also greeted by the sound of his vaccum. Radlynn stopped in her cleaning, shutting off the vaccum. "Morning!" She greeted tiredly.

"Uh- good morni-"

"Radley?" Shida's voice interrupted him. The onion man leaned out of the bathroom door and smiled at his friend. "You're awake!"

"Um- Good morning, Shida...you're still here?" Radley tilted his head.

"Why wouldn't I be?" He replied. "You need help, and I can afford a couple days out of the fort." Radley arched a brow in confusion.

"I'm being forced to clean." Radlynn explained. Radley looked at her in surprise.

"I wouldn't be forcing you if you actually helped out while you're forcing Radley to take care of you." Shida replied. He stepped out of the bathroom and pulled off the rubber gloves he was wearing. "Anyway," he continued, ignoring the look Radlynn threw at him. "I made breakfast for you."

"...please don't tell me you're the one that turned off my alarm." Radley murmured. Shida chuckled.

"No that was Radlynn, she's quieter so she wouldn't wake you up." He replied. Radley scowled and glanced at Radlynn.

"Hey I'm just doing what the big scary onion man tells me to." She replied quickly. Radley huffed.

"Shida, I can take care of myself." He muttered.

"You blinded yourself, Radley."

"Only partially!" He snapped back. "You can stay as long as you want, Shida, but you need to let me work. I'm not a child, and I need to get Radlynn home!" He gestured over at Radlynn.

"I'd kinda prefer it if you got me home without hurting yourself in the process." Radlynn murmured back.

"See? Even she agrees." Shida leaned against the kitchen table and rested a hand against where his hip would be. "Now do me a favour and eat your waffles."

Radley sighed and moved over to the kitchen table. He sat down and let Shida place a plate of waffles in front of him. "Thank you." he murmured resignedly.

Shida smiled and grabbed his gloves, putting them on again. "Radlynn, you do the dishes when Radley is finished."

"Why do I have to do the dishes? You were the one cooking!" Radlynn retorted.

"Because I have to clean the soap grime off the shower." He replied sternly. Radlynn glared after the onion man as he walked back into the bathroom.

"Who the hell cleans soap grime...?" She murmured. Radley looked over at her.

"I do, actually."

"Oh-" she tilted her head. "Wh-"

"RADLYNN! I DON'T HEAR VACCUMING OUT THERE!" Shida's yelling interrupted her.

Radlynn huffed. "Son of a-" she turned the vaccum on, muffling her irate muttering. Radley smiled a little in amusement.

He finished his waffles and stood up, moving over to the sink. He glanced over at Radlynn, who was furiously vacuming under the coffee table. He turned on the tap and grabbed the dish soap, setting to work on cleaning. He could at least give her a little help while Shida wasn't watching.

Radley got halfway through the dishes piled in the sink when Radlynn finished with the vaccum. She walked over to him and watched him for a few moments.

"Sarge told me to do the dishes."

"Mhm."

"So you can sit down if you want."

He looked at her, ignoring the slight sting of pain in his bad eye. "I'd rather help." He replied calmly. Radlynn glanced around, then grabbed a rag from the counter. She grabbed one of the plates and started drying.

"...so has he always been that pushy?" She asked. Radley chuckled.

"Shida? Yeah, pretty much," he smiled affectionately. "He's always had a soft spot for me, though, he'd go through hell and back if I asked him to."

Radlynn smirked. "Well obviously, I'm pretty sure not just anyone would take over the world and go to a foreign dimension." She replied.

"Says the one who decided to strand herself in another dimension so she could stay in a cave with a creepy old guy who kidnapped her." Radley countered.

"You got me there," she chuckled. "I guess we're both a little crazy then." She added.

"That makes three of us."
