"Good afternoon MunchMore! It is a beautiful nineteen degrees celsius outside," the radio show host's chipper voice greeted. Radlynn smiled a bit as she cooked. She hadn't been much of a chef before but- Radley was so encouraging, she just took to cooking half the meals. "This song comes in from our listener Caige! And it's dedicated to his special someone. Lucky gal."

She hummed along to the song as she cooked. She cut up carrots, then poured them into a pan with some peppers and diced onions. She turned up the heat, frying them. She had chicken in the oven too to go with it. She smiled to herself. This wasn't the kind of food she'd make back home, she'd probably just make a grilled cheese or eat out somewhere.

She finished her cooking and very carefully arranged the food on the two plates until it looked perfect, and then fixed it a little more. She picked up one of the plates and walked over to Radley's lab. He'd be impressed by this dish for sure. She felt excited.

Radlynn rapped her knuckles against the door and opened it, not waiting for an answer. She watched silently as Radley set up a small, cheap looking camera on a tripod. He pointed it towards an empty spot on the floor and turned it on.

"Warp coin test number one." He said simply. Radlynn watched him toss something to the ground, and only a moment later a portal sprang up, showing a brick wall. "Portal is steady." Radley said calmly. And then the portal began to flicker. "Shit-" was all he had time to say before it suddenly exploded, making him stumble back. Radlynn yelped in surprise and jumped back, her food falling off the plate and onto the floor. Radley looked behind him over at her. "Radlynn?"

"I was gonna bring you lunch-" she said, voice shaking slightly. Radley walked over quickly and lightly gripped her arms, steadying her. Radlynn relaxed at his touch. "Are you alright?" She asked, looking him over. "I mean- that thing EXPLODED."

"I'm fine," Radley smiled reassuringly. "Warp coins do that a lot, honestly." He added. "Tricky things..."

Radlynn looked down at the ground. "I dropped your lunch." She mumbled. Damnit- she'd been really proud of that too. He looked up at her.

"Oh-" he looked down too and realised he was standing on the chicken breast she'd cooked. He stepped off of it and frowned. It looked like it'd taste good if it didn't have a footprint on it- so he had to give her props for that. "It looks good." He murmured. Radlynn laughed sheepishly.

"I made some for myself- you can have it." She said. Radley looked up.

"You're sure?" He asked. Radlynn nodded.

"How are the warp coins coming along?" She asked as Radley walked past her. He shrugged.

"Well it's complicated, the coins literally rip a hole through space time to work, so they're dangerous to use. We're lucky it didn't make a black hole."

Radlynn stared at him in shocked horror. Radley cleared his throat as he sat down.

"I've never had a coin make a black hole though, so I'm doing something right."

"You...don't know what's stopping the black hole thing...?"

"No! No I do know-!" Radley fidgeted with his hands nervously. "It's safe I swear. I'll get you home safely."

Radlynn went quiet for a few moments, then tilted her head at him. "After I leave..." She murmured. "Will I ever get to see you again?"

Radley looked up at her. He opened his mouth, then closed it. He was silent for a few moments before shrugging. "I...don't know." He said quietly. "The warp coin is good for a few uses- though I don't think I'm very welcome in your dimension..." He laughed lightly, though Radlynn didn't think this situation was particularly funny.

"Maybe you could come visit," she suggested, voice soft. "Most people probably won't like you but- you'd always be welcome with me."

Radley stared at her, silent. He hesitated before speaking. "Really?" He asked, his voice soft and excited.

Radlynnnn moved over to him and leaned against the dining table. Radley looked at her. She reached over and took off his glasses and looked at him. Radley tensed- she hadn't even asked to take off his glasses! But- it didn't really bother him that much. In fact he was rather comfortable with her seeing him without them. She smiled a bit.

"Of course." She answered gently. "Always." Her hand rested on top of his. "...your eye is getting better."

Radley's cheeks flushed and he smiled, looking away from her sheepishly. "Oh- I uh-"

"Why do you hide your eyes?" She asked. Radley's eyes widened, then he looked away embarrassedly.

"Eye contact makes me nervous, remember?" Oh. Yeah. She'd forgotten about that. He threw up just looking at her eyes.

"Right-" Radlynn grabbed his glasses and placed them back on. "...your eyes are nice though, I like looking at them." She stood up, moving her hand off of his. Radley grinned to himself and looked away, blushing. He wasn't used to getting so many compliments at once. Radlynn smiled to herself and stepped away. "I'll clean up, you enjoy your lunch, okay?"

"Okay." He replied, still smiling giddily.
