A man dressed in a queer mix of Spanish and Philippine fashion stood in the middle of the dozens and dozens of cadavers littered around the abandoned warehouse. He sighed in exhaustion, before fixing himself and bowing slightly, for respect.

"We had a good fight. It's a shame it didn't last long." He said. "Hm? You still talk to your dead enemies, Juancho?" A woman's voice said. He turned around, to see a smiling Yosano.

"Hello, Akiko. How's the day in the Agency?" He asked. "It's fine, how's yours, Mr. Government Assassin? Still working for Fitzgerald part-time?" She asked. He nods, then looks again at the corpses.

"Say, are you really that cold-blooded before?" Yosano asked. "(F/n) kept talking about you, and how you were really secretive about things with the Paladins, and how you never hesitate to kill somebody. Is that true?"

He simply chuckles, suddenly remembering his life as a Paladin.

He used to be in the slums, where Akutagawa and Gin used to live. Since he was two years older than them, he thought that it was his duty to take care of them, and so he did.

When the six men had attacked them, he quickly hid the two, before leaving to take care of the situation. He successfully warded them off, and quickly went back to tell them that it's already safe to get out; only to be surprised that they had already left.

Behind him stood Lore, who led him to Nightstalker. He slowly and steadily worked his way to being a Paladin, earning the unwavering trust of the members, no matter what rank.

They talked to him with a sense of freedom, telling secrets about themselves, sometimes about the organization. He carried secrets that could break the organization with a few words, but he didn't spill even a single thing.

From a man with a carefree, friendly and trustworthy demeanor, he became a silent man; yet the trust everybody had in him never wavered. He was afraid he would spill anything, but he wouldn't really admit it to anybody.

The freedom he once felt when he was in the slums came back when he saw Yosano for the first time. Again, he wouldn't admit it; he was slightly disappointed that they had to fight in rooms, because he couldn't see Yosano for a while.

He saw Yosano as a strong, independent, and fearless woman. When she was unable to heal Rio, he relied on his reflex to comfort her, slightly enjoying her reaction.

They were the most mature out of the immature couples in the Agency, they balance each other very well, to Kunikida's slight jealousy. Their relationship was Kunikida's ideal.

Even as they were dating, his admiration of (f/n), who was a prodigy of their organization, never disappeared. He can't help but get frustrated when Dazai worries about her too much, thinking that he's underestimating her.

But now he has a girlfriend, he knows the feeling already.

"Oi, Juancho?" Yosano said, snapping her fingers right in front of his face. He jumped slightly, startled. She sighed.

"What were you thinking about, Juancho?" She asked. He laughs lightly, saying, "Nothing, just remembering my past, you know... I'm just so happy I finally found the love of my life."

She blushed. "You're so cheesy, Juancho." She smacks his arm lightly. "You were born in the Philippines before coming here, right?" She asked. He nods.

"Say, can you show me around there? They said it's really beautiful, especially Palawan!" She asked. "When the time is right, Akiko. When the time is right." He answered.

Little did she know, that in a few years, they're going to get engaged and married in that very place, in Palawan, overlooking the beautiful seas.
