"Mum we can explain!" I exclaimed.
"That Oscar nearly ran away and Harry was acting strange?" She questioned. "Oscar nearly ran away?"
"Yes. Luckily, the neighbour found him. Can you explain about your brother?" My mum quizzed.
"All I know is that he had a go at me this morning but I don't know why," I told her, slightly lying. "I don't know what's wrong with him. One minute he's ok but next he's acting strange," She sighed. "He's just growing up mum," I reasurred her.
"Yeah, but you aren't acting like this," She agreed. "Probably because I have a responsibility," I smiled and looked at Zach," We have a responsibility." He held my hand and I looked back at my mum. "Anyway, be careful next time baby please. I don't want to worry again about my little girl," She moved a strand of hair out of my face. "I'm ok mum. I was just tired," I replied. She gave me one last smile before leaving the room.

A couple of days later, me and Zach were on my bed and he was talking to the baby. "And then we're going to be the happiest family ever and ignore what anyone else says," Zach said. I smiled at him and played with his hair. "Your mummy is one of the strongest people I know. She always has a smile on her face and stands up for herself. I love her so much," He smiled. I looked over at Leigh who was sleeping peacefully next to me. "This is perfect," I said out loud.
"I agree. We already look like a little family," Zach commented. My mum knocked on the door and sat on my bed. "You three look so happy," She cooed as she lightly touched Leigh's foot. I smiled at her and cuddled into Zach. "I wonder when the next one is due," My mum joked. I pretend to laugh and so did Zach. "I hope it's not soon. You both still have a life to discover," She told us. I nodded in response and then she looked at the ultrasound picture. "Is this Leigh?" She questioned. "Yeah. I got it framed," I lied. My mum looked at me funny and shook her head. "This isn't Leigh's scan. I have it on my phone," My mum frowned at me. "You might have a different week," I tried to keep the lie going. "I don't think I have. It's in the corner," She pointed," This isn't another baby is it?"
I looked at Zach and he shared the same look as me. Shocked. "Am I talking to myself?" She asked us. We both still didn't answer so she looked through the bathroom. "Nothing in there. I want the truth, Rylie. Now," My mum ordered.
