It was a beautiful Thursday afternoon on the 18th of the 2nd. It was a very special day to the Walker family as it was their son's birthday. For the occasion, Elizabeth decided to take her family to her grandmother's farm where they could all have a picnic under the shade of her favourite tree.

Upon arriving they hadn't even managed to fully get out of Beau's car completely before Benji was snatched up in his great grandmother's arms.

"awha! Look at yoooou, two years old! You're such'a big boy now!" she gushed while smothering poor Benji in what can only be described as 'grandma kisses'. This caused the birthday boy to squeal in surprise and to squirm in the old woman's arms. Eventually, Beau figured Benji had enough torturing for one day.

"Haha, c'mon Rosalyn. I think he's had enough," he joked, "I'm happy to see you're as healthy as ever."

He chuckled before opening his arms and pulling the both of them into a gentle bear hug. They stood in the driveway for a solid five minutes when Elizabeth clapped her hands, signalling the move on. Though the smile in her features said she didn't mind.

"Okay, guys! Time for lunch."

After another second Beau took Benji and headed straight for the shade to set up, leaving the two women alone.

"It's good to see you again gran'ma," Elizabeth mumbled, lightly kissing her grandmother's cheek.

"It's good to see you too baby." Rosalyn placed a hand on Elizabeth's cheek for a second before interrupting the silence "Now, go set up. I'm gonna bring out some yummy dishes and you guys are gonna relax while I do it -No buts."

One hard look later, the elder waddled to her house.

Laughing, Elizabeth wandered over to the now set up picnic area where she bent over Beau, placing her hands on his shoulders to balance herself as she gave him a quick peck on the lips, followed up by another and another. They were just starting to get into a rhythm when she pulled back, studying his bright blue eyes that their son had inherited; blue eyes that she loved so much.

"Go play with your son before we end up doing something naughty," Elizabeth whispered, glancing at their son who was oblivious to the world as he sat plucking the luscious green grass with his chubby, uncoordinated fingers.

Beau glanced over at Benji then back at Elizabeth, placing a final kiss on her lips before getting up clumsily. Cupping his hands around his mouth, Beau called out, "Daddy wants to play tag!"

This gained Benji's attention and the little boy squealed gleefully in response. He struggled upon his tiny feet and ran away as fast as he could.

Sitting down Elizabeth focused on the warmth of the sun that seemed to be leaving an invigorating hum throughout her entire body as she gazed at her husband chasing around their baby boy in his favourite game of tag. With a smile, Elizabeth leaned back on her palms, legs stretched out in front of her as she closed her eyes. She wanted nothing more than to bathe in the happy giggles of her son and the playful words of the love of her life.

At that moment Elizabeth couldn't help but believe she had finally found true happiness; she had a loving grandmother, a doting husband and a beautiful son...But like all good things, it had to come to an end.

Not even five minutes later Elizabeth snapped her eyes open in a panic at the sound of her husband's shouts.

"Honey what's wrong!" she yelled rushing to Beau's side. Elizabeth couldn't make out what was wrong at a distance due to her husband being hunched over but she could only assume. And when she finally made it over to his side, she found her assumption to be correct; something was wrong with Benji.
