It was especially quiet on the night that the group went to save Glenn and Maggie. There were few sounds of nature as if the entire surrounding area knew what was to come. The group managed to successfully save Glenn and Maggie from the Governor's clutches, however, things soon took a turn for the worse. Slowly but surely, the eerily peaceful night grew louder as the plans shifted and everyone -save for Glenn and Michonne- had to stay to save Daryl from a do or die fight against his brother. The process was tough and didn't go without sacrifice, however, each member left standing, no matter how close a call, managed to escape from the hellish confines of Woodbury.

Once out of the enemy territory, they weren't free from danger just yet. There was still the chance of being followed and a walker attack. So, with Rick leading the way, they made a mad dash for where they left their vehicle on the side of the road. It was set up a far distance away from the barriers of the Woodbury, through the forest, by the side of the road, as a safety measure against the chances of the Governor finding the location of their car. Already there was Michonne and Glenn, waiting for the others' return as they had been instructed to do before the second rescue was set into motion.

Everything might have appeared fine, they were indeed successful, but they still had one problem on their hands. The problem came in the form of a man named Merle Dixon. He was crude, harsh, and cared about nothing but himself and his brother. Having been reunited with Daryl, the older Dixon helped his brother and his old group escape from Woodbury, in turn, following them back to their car.

It took a while for them to make it to where they had parked as they travelled cautiously through the late hours of the night, trying their utmost to stay quiet in order not to draw any unwanted attention. Soon though, with heavy breaths, the rays of early morning began to shine through as they arrived at their destination.

"Glenn!" Rick called out as quietly as he could while still gaining the Asian man's attention. Glenn jogged towards the sound of his leader's voice, into the forest with Michonne following closely behind.

"Rick! Rick!" He called out, staggering in a painful attempt at walking upon seeing the man just ahead of him.

"Oh, thank god." The relief was short-lived, though, when Merle was spotted from the back of the group. Instantly, the two adults that were waiting for the others' return were on guard and furious.

"Now we got a problem here," Rick said with his arm out trying to maintain the distance between Glenn and Merle, knowing that at any second, the distance would surely be shortened due to the negative, and the fresh history they shared.

"I need you to back up."

The moment those words left his mouth as if they were a trigger everyone began yelling. It was a screaming match, done in an indistinguishable manner, only a few remarks being heard but none being listened to. Everyone wanted to be louder than someone else in expressing either their protest or reason, neither wanting to back down, all believing they were right.

.

"What the hell is he doing here!?"

"He tried to kill me!!"

"Look what he did! If it wasn't for him Maggie-"

Michonne swiftly unsheathed her katana, pointing it directly at Merle, to which Daryl quickly jumped in front of, not accepting the threat to his brother- he didn't take lightly to the weapons being pulled on his blood by his family.
