"Is everyone ready? Oh no, we're not even close to ready. We're on in ten but Sarafina isn't here yet. We cannot begin the ceremony without the music. Why, it's a tradition that has been in every royal wedding. Zelda? Zelda! Why aren't you panicking?"

Zelda is slouched in her chair fingering through the newspaper. "Issac, you need to listen to me when I say you need to breathe," says Zelda. He has been on wheels since the wedding planning began, almost a nightmare to deal with. Zelda has done her best to pawn him off but now, the tension is getting higher making it harder to ignore him.

"Breathe? But Zelda we don't have time."

She looks at him from over the newspaper, his thin hair in every direction and cheeks flushed. She wants to roll her eyes and continue to ignore him, but she laughs instead. It's quite a funny sight, seeing this little man run around everyone in such a hard state. She hands the newspaper to someone and walks towards Issac.

"It's not a suggestion," she says. "It's a command from your princess. Breathe."

He puts his hands out, his palms facing Zelda as he steadies himself. Once his body is still, he takes a couple of deep breaths.

"I just don't understand how you are so calm," he says when he's back to baseline which for Issac, is still pretty high strung.

"I guess," but then she has to pause as she isn't positive of the answer. " I guess I have lived multiple life times of calamity. A wedding should be a celebration. Not a time of despair."

"Ah and that is why you have been chosen to be protector of these lands. Not a task for someone so lighthearted like myself."

"Aye," she says. "Issac, you have worked hard to make this ceremony happen. You can relax now. In a few minutes, Gannondorf and I will be married. So, sit back and enjoy the festivities you worked hard to make happen." His shoulders and jaw drop simultaneously as he further relaxes. "Here," she says and then smooths his gray hair back into place.

"Thank you, princess. I want to do the same for you as I did your parents and what my father did for your grandparents. But I do have one question."

"I told you and everyone else on the Royal Grounds. Do not confront me as to whether or not I am making the right decision."  She lifts up her veil and pops a cigarette between her lips.

"Princess Zelda, please be careful not ruin your lipstick. Here let me fix it," says a young girl. Zelda bats her away.

Issac continues, "It just all seems so... unexpected and sudden. Do you really believe you can trust him?"

Zelda shrugs. "Who is to say I can be trusted? I have had enough of this conversation. Gannondorf and I made an agreement. We made an agreement. I'm not changing my mind."

He watches her as she continues to smoke, the red stained cigarette between her fingers moving back and forth to her mouth. A new habit as far as he is concerned. "As you wish," he finally says. What else can he say? Zelda has never been one to back down or quit so he cannot foresee her to doing so minutes before her wedding.

He peeks out the window to the garden where Zelda will be wedded. All close connections get to attend the wedding in the Royal Garden while out of town guests are seated outside the gates. The morning started off dark and dreary which Issac had hoped was a bad omen. Much to his surprise and disappointment, there was a break in the sky and the sun has been shining down hard and bright ever since.

"Let's take our place then," he  says when Sarafina takes her place and beautiful flute music becomes audible.

Everyone bustles about as Zelda takes her place in front of the blue doors. Time slows down and everyone seems to be moving in slow motion. She savors it while she can. The doors open slightly giving her a view of the beautifully decorated garden. The same place all royalty has been wedded. The ivory carpet which she will walk on and the archway which is decorated with flowers and vines where she will meet Gannondorf.
