Today's Thursday and I hate Thursdays. The schedule is the worst out of all five days and something always seems to happen. I'm on the bus with San on our way to school. "Where di u go after school yesterday?" I ask him casually as we share our earbuds. "We had to go do something but I also saw Jisoo." Oh, the girl who came to the park with us. "Yeah, Eunji told me about the two of you. Are you a thing now?" I nudge him and snicker when his cheeks turn slightly red. "yeah we're dating." I laugh, "That was fast. I guess I won't be seeing you that much then." San rolls his eyes at my words, "You will don't worry." "Hm, of course."
Once we arrive in front of the school, San and I get out of the bus and immediately spot his friends. At first, I was going to go with him and greet his friends but I decide against it when I spot Seonghwa. They turn to face us when San shouts Wooyoung's name. I simply give them a quick wave and smile before walking to class. Eunji sent me a message saying that I don't have to wait for her because she's coming with Hyunjin. Seems like everyone is getting into a relationship, except for me.
As I'm about to walk into class, taking out my headphones, a familiar voice calls out my name. I take in a deep breath and release it before turning around and facing Seonghwa who looked out of breath. "Why are you so out of breath?" "You didn't hear me call your name so I had to run after you." Oh, oops. "What do you want?" "Did you finish the project?" I shake my head and he nods his head with a small smile. "Here, I have my part of the project on the USB key. You really thought that I was going to let you do everything?" "Uhm, thanks, I'll add it to the power point." I give him an awkward smile as a way to show that the conversation is done and that I want to leave.
Seems like he didn't quite get the memo because he continues to talk to me. "Can't you stop being mad at me?" Looking back at him I frown, "You went from being rude to too nice. Why?" He simply shrugs, "Am I not allowed?" "Well, I guess you are." "You went from being overly excited and talkative to quiet and closed in. I just want you to go back to the way you were before. he says and I feel my expression soften. "You would even compliment my amazing looks an-" "Okay that's enough." He lets out a laugh and so do I. "Are we good?" I nod at him, shyly making him grin. Seonghwa says bye to me and goes to his classroom which is located down the hall.
I finally enter the classroom and soon after, Eunji and Jisoo come in, Eunji gives me a big wave to which I give one back. I smile at Jisoo and she gives a small one back. "Soljoo! Hyunjin, San, Jisoo and I will go on a double date isn't that so cute." I cringe, "Aren't those just really weird? You used to hate those." She rolls her eyes and just continues smiling and clapping her hands, "It's on Saturday and we're going to a cat cafe!" "I also want to go to a cat cafe..." I pout to which the two of them laugh at. I turn to look at Jisoo, "I still can't believe San didn't even tell me you two started talking, I'm feeling betrayed but yeah congrats." I give her a wink before looking back at Eunji.
The teacher enters the room and I already know that something's wrong with him with the aura radiating off of him. He's annoyed. "Everyone go to your seats now. You," he points at Jisoo, "get out of my classroom and go to your own. If someone starts talking, I'm kicking you out." At the end of his phrase, the whole room becomes dead silent. "You're having a three hour test on monday." I take a deep breath and bring my hand up to my temple. "Stop whining! You think I want to do this? I don't want to sit in the same room for three hours not doing anything." He shouts, his ruler hitting the table.
Lunch break is over and I enter the classroom again, waiting for the teacher to come. As soon as she comes she starts passing around sheets of paper making everyone look around with confusion evident on our faces. "Test, start now." My eyes widen, looking down at the sheet and then to the teacher repetitively. Not wanting to waste anymore time, I look down at the test and start answering the questions.
By the end of the day, the temperature got progressively colder due to the fact that we are nearing November. I wait in front of the school for San, still annoyed from today's event. But soon enough, a grin makes its way onto my lips when I see him exit the school but it quickly falters when I see Jisoo clinging onto him. I really won't be able to spend any time with him. "San! Let's go?" He nods and looks at Jisoo who is a lot shorter than him, "I'll see you tomorrow, babe." "But I wanted to walk home with you." She pouts as the words come out of her mouth. "I'll bring you home tomorrow."
"You will?"
"You will?"
Jisoo and I say the phrase at the same time and both exchange looks. "Yeah, Soljoo won't mind." He adds without even asking me. "Okay, San." He leans down to plant a kiss on her lips and I feel an unpleasant shiver go from my head to my toes.
"My whole body cringed." I retort once the two of us walk to the bus station. "Don't exaggerate it's not the first time you see me kiss someone." "I know but it's as if seeing a twelve year old kiss someone." He gives me a blank look, "At least it's a hot twelve year old. But still, you see the way I look when we go out or get dressed. I look like a god." To that, I can't disagree, "You're right." I raise my hands and chuckle. A cold breeze passes by making us shiver simultaneously. "It's getting so cold." I complain moments before spotting the bus not too far away.
The bus arrives and after passing our cards, we sit in the back, our hands in our pockets, talking about what goes on at the moment.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Bee-
I groan, as my eyes open, trying to find the off button of the alarm. I was lucky enough to be able to sleep properly but now I just can't seem to wake up. "At least it's Friday which means that I will be able to sleep more tonight." I get out of bed, not so ready to start the day.
Once, I'm ready, I leave the house, making sure not to wake up my father and walk to the bus stop, surprisingly in a good mood.
