A/N: Just a heads up, at some point I will be rewriting these chapters. This story is about 2 years old and the older chapters need an overhaul.
______

Rain noisily beats against the roof of the bus stop, as Hitoshi sits on the bench, hugging his knees with his face pressed into them. His right eye and nose aches, along with the sting of a cut on his forehead. In fact, his entire face hurts. Blood covers most of it, due to the cut, and his vicious nosebleed.

He isn't sure how long he was sat at the bus stop. He's sure it's been hours. It feels like hours.

Then, he hears a familiar voice in front of him.

"Shinsou?"

Hitoshi immediately recognises it, but decides to ignore it as he both doesn't belive it's the same person, and he wants them to go away.

"What are you doing outside so late?"

He continues to ignore him. Then he hears another familiar voice.

"Hey, these streets aren't safe after dark! All kinds of people out here, y'know?"

Hitoshi sighs, getting conformation that it really is his two teachers who found him. He slowly looks up at them, taken aback when he sees the look of concern on both their faces. He notices that their concern only grows when they see his face. Hitoshi looks away, "I'm fine, Sensei"

"No you're not. And you're not staying out here this late, especially when it's raining" Aizawa replies sternly, "come on"

But Hitoshi doesn't move.

"Shinsou" He says in his usual strict tone, causing the boy to flinch and slowly get up. Anxiety quickly takes over as they start to walk as Hitoshi begins to panic about being taken back home. But he quickly realises that they're heading in a different direction.

Hitoshi stays quiet, walking just behind his two teachers curious, but confused. Where are they taking him? To the police station?

His anxiety stays with him through the entire walk, watching the two ahead of him or looking around at the area. He notices that they're close to UA and starts to wonder if they're taking him to the dorms, before they turn down a street by the station. They walk down to an apartment block, then climb up the stairs to the third floor.

Aizawa unlocks the door and looks back at Hitoshi, "You're staying here tonight"

"Sensei, I don't think-"

"Stop talking. I'm not allowing you to wander the streets late at night, and I don't want you going back home right now. Come on"

Mic walks in, and Hitoshi hesitantly follows him in trying not to look around. Aizawa shuts the door, then walks beside Hitoshi and points to the couch, "sit" He sits down awkwardly, glancing over at Mic uncertain when a cat jumps onto his lap purring. He smiles slightly and strokes it as Aizawa darts out the room towards the kitchen.

"That's patch. He likes attention" Mic smiles, gesturing to the cat on Hitoshi's lap. He looks down at him. Patch is mostly white, but has brown, blonde and black patches across his fur, mostly on his face. He rolls onto his back and meows in acknowledgment. Hitoshi smiles, but then he's reminded of his cats back at home.

"I had cats too" Hitoshi says quietly.

"Oh? What were their names?"

He blushes embarrassed. How could he tell him that he named them after the two heroes that live here? "Um...I'm not sure if..."

He doesn't have to answer anyway, as Mic decides to move on as he notices his other cat dart into a bedroom, "Oh! We have two others! One's called Jelly, he's the black and white one, and the other is Yowl, who is the greyish tabby"

Hitoshi bites back a laugh, but Mic seems to notice it. "Shouta named Jelly and Patch. Yowl was my idea. Well second idea. I wanted to go with something more unique but he wouldn't let me. He's a noisy cat, so I guess it suits him as well"

"Reminds me of Hizashi" Hitoshi thinks with a sigh, already missing him and Shouta, his cat that has been in their family since he was young.

"Oh, I don't know what you'll call me, but please call me Yamada! It feels weird being referred to by my hero name, or as sensei in my home"

"Ok, I will" He smiles.

Then Aizawa walks back in with a first aid kit and a towel. He sits beside him, searches through the box, then gestures for Hitoshi to turn towards him. Using one hand to steady Hitoshi's head, Aizawa gently starts to clean the blood from his face.

"What made the cut?"

"...glass..."

He huffs, then starts to clean it. Hitoshi winces as it stings, but stays still letting him. He's surprised about how gentle he is, but it manages to comfort him enough to calm him down. He almost misses it when Aizawa moves his hands away.

"How did you get these injuries?"

"I...fell over. I tripped over my cat and hit my head the side"

He narrows his eyes at him, and Hitoshi looks down at Patch biting the inside of his cheek. Aizawa puts two butterfly stitches on his cut, then watches his nose to see if its stopped bleeding yet. It has.

"Then why were you running away? Don't deny it. People don't sit at a bus stop late at night upset and injured, with a bag full of clothes. I don't want to assume it was abuse, but you kept coming to our training with random cuts and bruises. When you told me it was just injures from training, there was an expression on your face that told me otherwise. I've dealt with a few runaway cases where the child was running from an abusive household. Your expression was exactly the same as there's, and you told me the same lies"

Hitoshi sighs. Aizawa's expression softens slightly. "You don't have to tell me now, but I'd like to know what happened. For now, I want you to get some sleep" He gets up "come on"

Hitoshi moves the cat, then follows him to a bedroom, then pauses when he realises that he only noticed two bedrooms in the apartment. "What about you two?"

"We share a room!" Yamada grins. Aizawa sighs annoyed.

"Wait...you two are-?"

"Go to bed" Aizawa cuts him off with an annoyed tone, directing him into the bedroom.
