He did it.

He couldn't believe he had done it!

Hitoshi stared across the students in the hero course, as Vlad announced that he had indeed passed the test. Both classes began applauding him, and he shyly brought his scarf over his mouth, smiling as his hand clenching the fabric underneath. He looked at Aizawa, who had a look of pride on his face. If it wasn't for his mentor and father, he wouldn't be here. If Aizawa hadn't seen his potential, where would he be?

The classes were dismissed, and many of the students filtered out to head to the dorms. Of course Midoriya was the one to stay behind, his green eyes wide and shimmering with excitement.

"Congratulations, Shinsou! Your gear is amazing, and your quirk is a lot better than before! Does it hurt if you use it too long? You can brainwash multiple people at a time right? But does it take more energy to do so? How does it feel?"

"Uh..." The purple haired boy looked at their teacher for help, and Aizawa swooped in to save him.

"Midoriya, you can ask questions another time. It's been a long day"

"But-" He didn't have time to finish before the pro-hero shot him a look, and he got the message. "Bye, Shinsou! I can't wait to work alongside you"

As him and his classmates headed back, Hitoshi breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank you"

"You'll need to make friends once you transfer to the hero course. Whether they're genuine friends or just people you get along with, you should have someone" Aizawa sighed and walked back towards the changing rooms with the boy, "You can go home, but get changed first"

He nodded and moved to walk inside, but was pulled back into a short hug. Before he could even return the gesture, his dad pulled away again. "I'm proud of you" he smiled before walking away, leaving Hitoshi dazed but happy. He was proud of him. His adopted dad and hero was proud of him!

It was a several hours before his family came home, but when they did it was hard to miss. Yamada practically kicked the door open as he charged in, and within a few seconds had wrapped Hitoshi in a tight hug. "I'm so proud, I knew you could do it!"

"You're amazing Toshi!" Eri yelled as she ran over to join the hug, and Hitoshi grinned with a blush, "You're gonna be a hero, like Deku and Miri!"

"Thats right, Eri!" Hizashi grinned and stepped away before dramatically gesturing over to Aizawa with both hands, "We brought celebratory snacks!"

"Calm down they're just cupckaes" Aizawa sighed shifting the items in his hands, as he shut the door with his foot, then slid his boots off. He walked over and placed them on the table, "We got soba soup on the way home and some cakes. Eri chose them"

Hitoshi looked at them through the plastic lid, and smiled. Rainbow. Of course she'd choose a rainbow. "Thank you"

Hizashi collected some bowls, and helped serve up the noodle soup from the containers, as Eri chose the film. Spirited away. "I thought you didn't like this film? The witch and No face scare you"

"I'm a big girl! I'm gonna be brave like you and Zuku! I lived with a real bad man, they can't scare me anymore!" Eri grinned, and settled herself between him and Aizawa. Hitoshi smiled. Before, she hadn't even wanted to look at the cover. Now she was actually trying to watch it! Today was a big day for all of them.

They sat in silence as they ate and watched the film, just enjoying each other's company. The cats decided to join them once the bowls had been taken out, and Hizashi wasted no time opening the box of cakes after dinner. Eri found his eagerness funny.
