"I'm back!" I yelled as I walked into the apartment.

"Where have you been?" Mom asked.

"Doesn't matter." I swore Dad said he was going to tell her I was spending the night. Guess he didn't.

"It does to your mother. Now answer her." Paul said.

I sighed. "I was at Dad's, okay? I had to go listen to the council argue about if they should kill me or not and it took so long Dad decided to have me sleep over."

"He should have called me and asked if it was okay. But how did it go? You didn't get into too much trouble did you?"

"Triton didn't kill me so I'd say everything went okay." I walked towards my bedroom. "I'm going to get changed."

Once inside I quickly changed into a new set of clothes. A soft sigh left my lips and I laid down on my bed.

"Percy. Are you okay honey?" Mom walked in and sat on the edge of the mattress.

"I had to listen to the gods argue about killing me, and then had to deal with Triton. I'm used to the council but Triton trying to kill me isn't exactly the best way to start my day."

Mom laughed softly. "Well, I hope you're not going to sulk in here all day. May asked us over for dinner tonight and I want you to be on your best behavior."

"In my defense, I can be a perfectly well mannered child if I choose to be. I just don't have the patience to do so. If there's a monster attack, I'm not being held responsible for destroying the building."

Mom leaned over and kissed my forehead. "Be ready by five."

She left the room, leaving me to stare at my alarm clock.

It's ten forty six...no, ten forty three. My clock's three minutes fast.

But this gives me about six hours to relax and do nothing. Or run around and try not to die. Let's just see what the Fates have in store.

I relaxed for the most part, only getting up eight times to walk to the kitchen and back. And then once after that so I could go use the bathroom.

As I washed my hands, I glanced up in the mirror. My eyes locked onto my reflection. The cold twisted reflection which twisted into a smirk as I stared.

Water gushed from the faucet and I swallowed. My hands curled into fists and I punched the mirror, shattering it.

I sank to the ground and sobbed, ignoring the blood streaming down my arms.

After a few minutes I lifted my hands and stared at the multiple cuts that came from the flying glass.

There was a knock on the door. "Percy? You okay?"

"I'm... I'm okay Paul. Just slipped."

"On what?"

"Just because I can't get wet doesn't mean I can't slip on water."

The handle moved a little bit and the door soon opened. Paul stared down at me before mumbling a handful of cuss words.

He opened the cabinet and grabbed a roll of bandages and he quickly knelt down.

He looked at the small cuts, making sure there weren't any pieces of glass in them. Then he wrapped the bandages around my hands.

"So, how'd you slip and break the mirror?" He asked. It was obvious he was being sarcastic and he knew what happened but...

"I put my hands out to catch me and I hit the mirror. Let's just hope that whole seven years of bad luck thing isn't true. If I've been having 'good luck' for this long, I don't want to ruin my streak."

I don't think he believed me, the disbelief was visible in his eyes even as he nodded.

Standing up I looked down at the bandages. Water moved from the still running faucet and swept up the shards of glass before evaporating over the trash.

"Aren't you going to heal them?"

"I don't want to waste the bandages." I shrugged. "Besides, I don't want to heal something so stupid. I mean, what if I use it on this and then it's like one of those things where you misused the power so you lose the power...and with my luck, plus if I get bad luck from the mirror, I won't be able to heal something that might kill me."

Paul sighed and left, leaving me to walk back to my room and lay back down.

I stared up at the ceiling and yawned. I'm so not ready to deal with Triton every weekend. Hades, I was barely keeping myself from trying to kill him.

I ran my fingers through my hair and I looked over at the clock.

One.

I groaned. Time's just gonna go on like this today isn't it?

Which means either Kronos is spiting me from beyond his grave or I'm just having one of those days.

I rolled onto my side and closed my eyes. Maybe I can get a little more sleep before I have to socialize.

Though...

No. I don't care. I want to sleep and I need to sleep. I drifted off to sleep and thankfully didn't have a nightmare.

I woke up three hours later and stared at the clock, watching the minutes tick by. I wonder how long it'll be before Mom tells me to start getting ready.

It was four forty eight, a counting for the fast clock, when the door to my room opened.

"Percy, start getting ready."

Okay so

I got this done

Not sure how good it is but...

Hey I beat the girl I played today

Anyway...
