Chapter 11

Kelsey's POV

Everyone was mad at Archie and I understood why. Now no one even spoke to him. He was now hated by the whole town. I walked into the cafeteria and I saw Archie was sitting alone. People were even throwing stuff at him and he just sat there smoking and drinking out of a water bottle which I am sure was alcohol.

"Look at him. Drinking and smoking in the cafeteria I told you he was trouble. I warned everyone about this. Im sorry he hurt you." Watson says.

"I mean I trusted that guy. Looks like trusting someone famous was just wrong." Reggie says.

"He is good looking and talented. Thats all he is." Veronica says.

"Here I thought the old Archie was back." Betty says.

I ignored them all and I walked over to Archie's table. Everyone was watching me and Archie looked up at me all confused.

"Hey." I say to him.

"Your talking to me?" Archie questions.

"Yeah. Can I sit with you?" I question.

"No. Just go back to your boyfriend and your friends. You arent as sweet as you act you are. Go be a fake perfect bitch elsewhere." He says.

His words hurt, but I looked into his eyes and this wasnt Archie. I dont know who this is, but its not him.

"What happened to you? I know what you said was clearly a way to ease your fans about things that have been said about you, but Archie this isnt who you are. So right now the town has turned on you and that because you said things you clearly didnt mean. Look just know that even if it feels like everyone is against you just remember I am not. Once your calmed down you know where to find me." I say.

I just left him with that and decided to spend my lunch time alone in the library. After school I went to the animal shelter and went to see Vegas. I gave him a bath and went to play with him at the park.

"Kelsey, Im sorry." Archie says walking over to us.

"Its fine. I gotta know why did you say all that stuff? You love it here in Riverdale, you like all your friends, you were even happy about the new stuff you were creating. Why say this stuff?" I ask.

"My agent wanted to do damage control. I know I shouldnt of said these things, but I wanted to make my fans happy. I hated lying about Riverdale, my friends, and my music. Though I hated lying about you the most. Kels how could you still talk to me after what I said? Both time. Im sorry for calling you fake and a bitch. I didnt mean it." He says.

"I know. Look I want to be honest with you. I was very upset at you all those years ago. You left without a goodbye and I never wanted to talk to you again. Then you started changing and becoming some different and thats not who you are. You came back here and started to become the Archie you once were and thats the Archie you really are. I know you and I think if you have to put on this act for your fans to get them to stay with you... Then maybe its not worth it." I say.

"Kels this is my job something that I love. I dont want to give it up." He says.

"I know, but if it means being someone you arent then why be it at all. If you really have to hide yourself then your fans are not a fan of you. If they are your real fans they will love the real you. The you who doesnt lie about how proud of where he is from, the you who cares about his friends, the you that has  made more meaningful music. You should show that Archie the real one. Thats the Archie that people should see and if you do. I believe everyone will love you." I say.

"So what your saying is no more fighting, drinking, or smoking. Then tell the truth and make music I love and believe in. Put it out there and see what people think." He says.

"Thats who Archie is. If they do like that Archie then they arent the fans for you. Though my guess is if you believe in it and they will too. Just be the Archie they should love and not someone your management thinks you should be." I say.

"Your right. Maybe I'll do just that." He says.

I smiled at him and he then began to play with Vegas. Archie is a good person and that is the real Archie Andrews.
