"Thought I'd pay our new guest a visit, don't worry she's fine, I haven't touched her" he says grinning

"Leave" Levi says, he's not impressed.

"Until next time" Lucifer turns to me and nods before slipping past Levi and leaving.

"Are you okay?" Levi says shifting his attention away from his father leaving and back to me

"No"

"Did he hurt you" he ask moving closer with concern clear in his voice

"No" I say pulling my legs up against my chest, making myself small.

"What did he tell you?" He says before crouching down in front of me and holding out a glass with water in it.

"Bet you wish you could just compel me to love you like you did the first time, would make this a whole lot easier for you" I say rolling my eyes.

"I've never compelled you to do anything" he says

Liar.

"Drink" he says holding out the cup for me to take.

"And if I don't want to" I say testing him. A moment passes and he sets the cup down on the ground beside me before sitting down across from me in silence.

"I spent a lot of the time when we first met trying to get you to hate me, trying to get you to fear me." He says after a moment. "Now that you finally do all I can think about is how to get you to trust me"

"I want to leave" I say sternly

"I can't let you. I know you don't trust me but I know if our roles where reversed you wouldn't let me go either, and maybe that's selfish. maybe I should let you go back and be with that jackass, maybe that's what's good for you. But I can't" he says after a moment. "It wasn't very long ago I was sitting in your hospital room accepting you where going to die in my arms and I'd never see you again. You have no idea how much I lost, I won't lose you again"

"You beat Luke unrecognizable" I say completely ignoring his futile attempt for sympathy.

"Not my proudest moment but now he knows not to touch" he says simply clearly a little annoyed I completely ignored everything he said.

"I'm not your property" I spit

"No, you're my wife"

I stare at him for a moment. Wife? The hell I am.

"So your just gunna keep me in a cell tell I forget I hate you? You'll be waiting a long time there buddy" I say ignoring his last statement, I refuse to acknowledge our marriage as legitimate.

"I don't want to keep you here, I never wanted to keep you here, but if I take you anywhere else I have to keep an eye on you" he says with what sounds like sadness in his voice

"Why because I'll run? Where am I gunna go? We're in hell" I say rolling my eyes.

"Do you want to come with me?" He says almost hopeful now?

"Not without Luke" I say sternly.

"Not a chance" he says almost immediately

"Then I'll take this cell" I say leaning back against the wall

"Then I will too" he says not moving

"What?" I say staring at him, the only thing worse than being trapped in a cell is being trapped in here with him.

"I can have a cot brought in if you want a bed" he says simply

"I'll suffer"

After a while we sat in silence because I just started ignoring his every word. He sat against the opposite wall and watched me as I rested my eyes, not really sleeping because I don't trust him.

I started to shake as I leaned up against the cold rock wall, nothing in here is warm. I heard him move and I opened my eyes to him standing up. I watch as he opens the door and leaves without locking it?

I stand quickly and walk to the small hole in the door and look out, did he just leave?

I grab the handle and open the door very slowly trying not to make any loud sounds. I look down the long never ending hallway then up the other direction that leads to a big main door that Levi has been coming from all these times.

I carefully sneak across the hall and look in Luke's cell and I see him sleeping in the corner.

"Luke" I whisper and I watch as he rolls over and looks at me confused before standing and rushing over to the door.

"How are you out?" He whispers back frantically

"He never locked the door" I say smiling

"No Charlotte, that's got to be a test, he's smarter than that, he's probably watching you" Luke says worried.

"You might be right, but in the off chance you aren't I have to try" I say before reaching my hand through the small bars in the little hole on his door. He grabs my hand tightly before letting go.

"I'll come back for you" I whisper before pulling my arm back and running for the big door at the end of the hallway.

I stop before it and stare at it a moment before grabbing the handle and opening it to find Levi standing on the other side with a blanket in his arms. Fuck.

"Of course" he says almost as if he should know better. I start running the other direction but it's pointless, he grabs my arm and holds me back before walking me back to my cell with a tight grip.

"Your hurting me" I say and Suddenly his grip loosens before leading me back into my cell.

"Here" he says throwing me a blanket.

"Gee thanks" I say dropping it on the floor refusing his gift, not happening.

"I want to take you somewhere" he says still standing by the door.

  "What?" I say looking up at him confused.

  "This isn't working, you will never trust me not like this, I need to take you somewhere" he says leaning against the door.

  "I won't leave anywhere without Luke, and I'll never trust you so you can give up on that right now" I say crossing my arms. I watch as he clenches his jaw in frustration.

  "If Luke comes you can't run" he says looking me dead in the eyes

  "If Luke can come I won't run" I say standing up

  "Fine" he says stepping forward

  "Fine" I say almost immediately

  A moment passes and he stands there reading my face, carefully examining my everything before holding out his hand to shake.

  I take it.
