The Devils Son: Afterlife

17. Freezing

Levi walks up the beach past us towards the house and eventually me and Luke grab our bags and follow behind him. He walks up the deck and through the big bay doors and leaves them open as he walks into a open spacious living room that connects to a kitchen.

I follow behind Luke as we walk in and look around, Luke plopping down on the couch almost immediately.

"Where do we sleep" I say exhausted, planes suck the life out of me.

"There's a room that looks out to the Volcano, Luke can have that one" he says nodding down one of the hallways off the living room. Luke almost immediately grabs his bag and walks down the hall to find it.

"And me" I say and Levi nods his head signalling me to follow him as he begins walking down a different hallway on the other side of the house by the kitchen. I grab my bag and follow behind as he opens the main door at the end of the hall and walks out towards a window before turning out of sight. When I turn the corner it's a huge master bedroom with a king bed and huge bay windows that look out onto the water.

"We got married here?" I say looking out into the darkness, the only light now is the moon reflecting off the water.

"Yes" he says softly unsure of what I'm thinking.

"I don't remember this" I say wondering back to the bed and sitting on the edge, watching him as he leans against the doorframe to the bathroom.

"We could always try recreating our wedding night" he says with a small grin

"Mmhm" I say rolling my eyes. Yeah right.

"Yah, that's probably for the best, you could barely handle it the first time" he says watching me.

My jaw drops and I look at him almost shocked? Did he really just say that?

"You're so cocky it's ridiculous, you're due for a major reality check" I say after a moment. I watch as he nods to himself before leaning off the wall and walks towards me, standing just a few feet in front of me.

"I mean, if you don't believe me we could always test it out" he says grinning, looking down at me.

"You would like that wouldn't you" I say brushing him off

"You would too" he says confidently

I find myself at a loss for words I just stare up at him as he continues to stare directly back at me. There is this wave of intensity in the room I can't seem to shake.

"Let's go swimming" he says after a long moment before putting out his hand for me to take.

"Your kidding" I say looking past him out at the cold dark water. "It's night, it will be freezing"

"You worry to much, Cmon" he says moving back towards the big glass door across the room and opening it.

"Aren't you going to invite Luke" I say looking at him, hoping he will give this swimming idea up.

"How are you gunna remember our memories with someone who was never there" he says slightly annoyed I even brought him up, he does make a point though.

I roll my eyes and get up off the bed and walk towards him. I follow him down the deck out to the long beach that leads to the shore line.

I feel the water wash up along the sand and it's freezing, I knew it. I back away from the water slightly but notice Levi is already taking
his shirt off and throwing it up on the sand before reaching for his belt.

"You're insane it's freezing" I say and he grins. I watch as he drops his pants down to his boxer briefs and throws his pants up on the beach with his shirt before stepping in. Why is he so fucking attractive, it would make hating him so much easier if he wasn't so hot.

"C'mon" he says going deeper before going under and coming back up.

"We did this before?" I say looking around at the darkness

"Every night" he says swimming up near the shore line

"Turn around" I say caving after a long moment of contemplation. I watch him roll his eyes before turning back around. I quickly pull my shirt and pants off before walking into the freezing water. He starts to turn back around to face me but I'm basically naked in my underwear so I quickly grab the back of his head and force him not to look back.

"Don't look" I say quickly. I hear him mumble something under his breath but I can't make it out. I rest my hands on his shoulders and slowly walk us out deeper into the freezing water until I'm past my chest deep.

"It's fucking freezing" I say covering my arms over my chest, partly because I'm cold, mainly because I don't want him to see my nipples through my bralette in this freezing water.

A moment later the water goes warm and I can see the veins on his arms glowing a bright red.

"You can do that?" I say confused

He reaches out his hand and lightly grabs my arm and rest my hand against his chest, it's warm, very warm. I look at his chest and I can see a slight red glow from his veins under his skin, nothing like on his arms though. I reach under the water and grab his arm and run my fingers along his veins and trace them as they glow. It's the strangest thing I've ever seen.

"You took a marker once and traced all the ones you could see through my skin" he says watching me closely. "I looked so fucking stupid" he says grinning and I laugh a little at the thought of him covered head to toe with random lines everywhere.

"I wish there was pictures" I say looking back up at him.

"There is" he says softly. I then feel something touch the back of my leg and I scream lunging forward at Levi. I hate fish.

He just laughs a little before I feel him rest his hand in the small of my back pulling me in slightly. I freeze at his touch but I don't stop him.

I then feel as he slides his hand down my back to my ass before sliding it down to the back of my leg when he suddenly grabs the back of both my thighs and pulls me around his waist.
