23. Tea lights

   Levi pulls up in the drive up in front of the house before killing the engine, I just stare out the window at this huge beautiful house.

   "What is this place" Luke says breaking the silence

  Levi ignores him and get out his door and I follow quickly behind. I stand against the car door as I look up at the house as Luke gets out of the car.

"This was your house?" Luke says now guessing

"I guess" I say as I watch Levi walk up the stairs to the doors, I follow.

He pulls out his keys and unlocks the door and walks in, keeping it open for us to follow. We walk into a large open living room with a glass staircase that leads up to the next floor. Across the room is large glass doors that lead out to the back deck that looks out into the forest.

   Levi walks towards the stairs up to the next floor and we follow, it's eventually opens to a big kitchen and to the left is a dinning room and to the right is another large living room, while the stairs continue up another floor. Around the side of the stairs is a small hallway with doors down it that probably has rooms or washrooms or maybe an office in them.

   "Your rooms at the end" Levi says leaning against the island looking at Luke. There is a moment where we all find ourselves standing in silence before Luke takes the hint Levi is putting out and walk back towards his room.

  "You good?" Luke stops and asks me and I nod. He nods back before continuing back.

  "What do you think" Levi asks me once we hear Luke's door shut.

  "It's big" I say looking up at the high ceilings

  He grins and nods before pushing off the island and walking towards the stairs, making his way up to the next level. I follow.

   It leads up to a landing with 2 doors on either side, Levi opens the left one.

   I follow him in and it opens to a large open Master bedroom with big windows all the way around, letting in lots of light. I look up and the ceiling has skylights above the bed against the far wall. the bed is against a wall that is open on either end that walk into the master bathroom. I watch Levi as he goes and sits on the end of the massive king bed.

  "So?" He says finally watching me look around.

  "It's big" I say looking at the big bed

  "Is that all you can say now?" He says grinning when I see a small basket beside the bed with a big book in it. I walk to it and it's a photo album?

  I pick it up and sit on the bed beside Levi and flip it open.

   The first picture is at the wedding? It's just me and him on the beach, it's completely private and honestly beautiful, the pictures must have been on a timer.

   There's pictures of me on the beach and in the kitchen in my bathing suit at the beach house. I look happy. There's a photo of me sitting in the tub with bubbles all around me and below it is a photo I took with the camera kissing Levi on the cheek as he smiles. I get a sinking feeling in my stomach. I looked so in love.

   I continue to flip through wedding photos when it turns to photos of this house and us moving in. I see a photo of Levi outside walking around with his big black wings out and I grin.

   I flip some more when I land on one of me in my underwear holding a birthday cake with Levi's name on it. I look happy. He looks happy. It's honestly making me sad.

  There is some photos with dogs and cats in them I can't remember either. I flip some more when I see these photos of hot springs? I get a quick glimpse of memory of tea lights on the rocks and as fast as it came it went. I got something!

   "Where is this?!" I point at the photo and when I look up Levi has already been staring at me, studying my face. He smiles.

  "The hot springs" he grins

"Are they close?" I say

  "You want to go?"

  "Can we?" I say standing up

Levi stands and we walk back down the stairs and the house is quite, not sure where Luke is but we continue down the stairs to the first level and out onto the back deck when Levi stops and starts taking his shirt off, we must be flying. I bring out my wings after he does except I'm more willing to rip wing holes in my shirt over taking it completely off in front of him.

  We start flying up the mountain, everything looks the same, it's all just trees. How does he know where to go? I look over and watch as the sun starts to set in the sky when Levi finally starts dipping down into the trees when we finally land.

   I follow behind him as we walk through some trees before it opens up to the hot springs, there is 2 different pools and in the distance I can hear a water fall and around the back you can see where the water filters in and out of the mountain.

   Suddenly a bunch of lights around the pools catch fire all at once, it's the tea lights from my memory and no doubt Levi lit them. I still don't understand all his powers.

  I watch as Levi undos his belt and takes his pants off before stepping into the small pool. I begin taking off my clothes and I can feel Levi's eyes all over me, there's no point in getting him not to look especially after that day on the beach in bora bora.

  I quickly undress and get in the water so he can't stare at me but I have to admit it's hot, really hot. I almost get back out and sit on the side quick but I'd rather burn at this point than have him stare at me more.

  "So?" He says after a moment.

"I remember the lights" I say looking at them as they line the edge of the pool. He grins and nods to himself.

   "How often would we come up here" I say looking around into the dark forest and the steep incline back down the mountain towards the house.

   "When ever" he says moving his hand through the water playing with it.

  "Why here?" I say looking back at him. "Why did we live here?"

  "You where from canada, you never wanted to live anywhere else and we couldn't risk anyone who knew you to see you so we lived out here in the mountains" he says watching my reaction carefully

  "I'm sure the winters where quite a climate adjustment for you considering hell and all" I say grinning

  "Yah, we had an agreement" he grins

  "What was that"

  "That in the winter we would go traveling to warm places and in the summer we would stay here" he smiles. "I don't do cold"

  "I should've known" I smile when I look above his head and see a carving in the rock? I slowly move across the small pool and lean up against the side and run my fingers along the 'C + L' engraving.

   "What where you told about me?" Levi finally says breaking the silence as I examine the engraving. I look over at him before sinking back down into the tiny pool.
