"I die?!" Choji exclaimed as the scene ended.

"I don't think you die, Choji. I think you passed out from exhaustion." Shikamaru replied. He looked at his friend and gave him a small smile. "Good job" he lazily he grinned. Choji returned his smile.

"That was amazing, Choji-san!" Lee said loudly. "Your flames of youth shined brightly!"

"Well done, Choji. I always knew you had it in you." Asuma praised. Even Ino gave him a thumbs up.

"Another is showing up." Neji commented as another projection began to play on the screen.

An older Choji Akimichi sighed heavily as he stopped to eye the small black crow that circled overhead. The sky was barren blue. Not a single white cloud in sight. And the piercing rays of the sun made him feel as though he was a slab of meat on a spit roast, slowly being cooked to near perfection.

He changed a lot since the days of his youth. He allowed his hair to grow down to his shoulders and a neatly trimmed goatee adorned his face. He was a lot slimmer as well, with a lot of his childhood weight turning into muscle. Despite of that, he was still a big man, wearing a green jacket thrown over a gray shirt with the kanji for 'food' proudly displayed.

With a proud smile on his face, Choza Akimichi clapped loudly at his son's image. "You'll grow into a strong young man, Choji. I'm proud to call you my son." he said joyfully.

"Indeed you did, Choji" Kurenai agreed and at her side, Asuma sent his student a quick thumbs up.

Embarrassed, Choji ducked his head low, mindfully ignoring the stifled snickers of Shikamaru and Kiba. Naruto just smirked at the brunette.

Sweat dribbled down from his brow as he continued to walk. He would have wiped it off had his hands been free and not currently occupied. Continuing his trod home, the head of the Akimichi clan shouldered his heavy baggage he carried with another sigh.

"Man, I know Rui-chan wants everything to be perfect, but is this really necessary?" Choji grumbled to himself softly, mindful of the fact to keep his voice low. It would not be pretty for him if his wife was to hear him complaining about something she had asked him to do for her. He loved her to death, no doubt, but he had married a spitfire with a lovely temper to match. He could see why Shikamaru said women were so troublesome.

"Told you" Shikamaru said plainly.

If he had been embarrassed before, he was simply mortified now. Blushing deep red, Choji refused to meet anyone in the eye. On the other hand, he could not deny the swell of happiness in his chest as he thought of his dream woman - someone who would admire him for his appetite.

Allowing the entirety of Konoha to pass without a word and a low hum on his lips, he soon spotted his clan compound in sight and at its gate stood his lawfully wedded wife, Karui Akimichi. She was dark-skinned with long-spiky red hair and amber eyes. She had a fuller figure from that of her younger years and wore a long, sleeveless dark dress held closed by a white obi. Her hair was in a neat, back-comb style. She had on dangling yellow earrings and wore low heeled sandals.
