Chapter 31 - Shino Pt. 3

"Awww" Yoshino and the Yamanaka matriarch gushed.

"I'm glad to see that you're happy, Shino" Kurenai said sincerely.

"I'm still trying to figure out how you managed to land a hot girl like that." Kiba said puzzled.

"Shut up, Kiba" Ino said with an eye roll.

"I'm just saying." Kiba replied, putting his arms up in surrender.

"Whatever, Kiba" Sakura said.

"C-Congratulations, Shino-kun" Hinata said softly.

"Thank you, Hinata-san" Shino responded.

Hinata glanced over at Naruto. She saw that he was looking at her from the side of his eye. He had a slight smile and there was a hint of pink dusting his cheeks. She smiled him and he saw him quickly divert his eyes. At first she was a little sad, but then she saw the blonde scratch the his cheek as more pink began to dust his cheek, indicating a small blush. Hinata blinked a couple of times before held a blush of her own. She wanted to giggle at their antics. Who knew Naruto could be just as shy as she?

Sasuke smirked at the blonde when he saw the light blush on his face. He glanced the Hyuga heiress who was blushing as well. He was cut out of his musings when he saw Sakura scoot even closer to him. He huffed at that. He still didn't understand how he ended marrying that girl.

The screen was alight again and another projection of Shino's future started.

Forty year old Shino Aburame was currently standing in front of a class. He wore a dark green flak jacket with two bug-like emblems on the neck, and full body suit underneath. He was wearing a three-strip optic visor that wrapped around his head to cover his eyes. He was silent as he prepared for the day to start.

School had just started and everyone had already arrived in the classroom. After Shino had finished organizing his things at the desk, he wrote something down on the board. Once he was done, he picked up his clipboard from his desk with the names of his students and began the roll call.

"Those glasses is totally awesome, Shino" Kiba complimented.

"A teacher?" Kurenai thought out loudly.

"Yosh, what a wonderful way to usher in the next generation!" Gai said, striking a good guy pose.

"That's surprising." Ino said as she looked at Shino. She tilted her head to the side like a puppy. "You don't seem like the teaching type."

"Well it is the future, Ino." Kakashi commented. "Things change as you get older." Several adults nodded in agreement.

"It's good to see you paying attention instead of reading that smut you call literature, Kakashi." Kurenai said.

Kakashi sweat-dropped at this. "I pay attention sometime, you know." he muttered.

"Hn" Sasuke commented.

"Right...." Sakura deadpanned.

Naruto said nothing, ignoring the masked jonin while a sweat bead fell from Kakashi's forehead as he looked at his genin. 'The betrayal......' he thought to himself in mock hurt.

"Sara Hyuga......" Shino called as he began to near the end of his roll call list.

"Here" she replied.

"Koneko Inuzuka...." Shino called as he began to near the end of his roll call list.

"Here!" said girl responded.
