I wake up with Jack's arms around me. The sun is not completely out yet though a little sunbeam is visible. I feel shivers down my spine as I remember my mom must be home or on her way at least. I turn my head and Jack is still sleeping —soft snores coming through his parted lips.
Four beer cans are scattered through the grass and the bag of cheetos is still next to him. I let out a brief snicker as the picture of us devouring the bag of cheetos and then sharing a few kisses and having orange stains around our mouths after comes to my mind.
Holy shit. We really made out the whole night. I feel like I'm someone I never imagined myself to be. Are Jackson and I dating? I don't know. I do know that Jack and Nicole are dating. Does he still likes her? Why is he cheating on her? Why doing it with me? Is Jack using me? Okay, I'm definitely not asking him that. Do I wanna know if he's using me? Last night felt like it wasn't going to end... it felt kind of eternal and good. Everytime we get to talk and spend time together, we share a lot of things anyone would easily think we've been friends for too long. But we haven't. We're just friends. And we just met this summer.
"Hey." His raspy voice goes through my hair.
"Morning." I turn and smile. "We need to get up right now. We spend the night here." I laugh. "Sorry for ruining it."
"Yeah, I've noticed that we always end up falling asleep in unusual places when we get high." He rubs the sleep out of his eyes and chuckles. His eyes are not that swollen anymore but I can see they're a little pink. Dimples at the corners of his mouth are visible.
"That's only happened twice, actually." I say. "Because the first time was in the room of Stas' sister."
"Yeah, that makes it three. Cause that was weird." He slowly stands up and extends his hand to me.
I let out a chuckle and stand up. "Help me get this cleaned before my mom comes." I pause. "Or notices cause I don't know what time is it." I shrug.

"Oh my God!" I say in surprise as I glance at the kitchen clock. "It's quarter past seven!" I turn to look at Jack who's throwing the beer cans away.
"Is she home?" He looks as surprised as I am.
"I don't know. She hasn't texted me." I lock my phone screen. "I'll go check."
I run upstairs and see her door closed. I quietly open it and she's calmly sleeping and her back is facing the door.
"Becca?" She murmurs.
"Hi." I say. "I didn't hear you coming."
"I had a crazy shift and I figured you were sleeping. Can you leave me some breakfast done before you go out or do what you have to do, please?"
"Yes, mom."
"Thank you. And by the way, Robert and I are going to have dinner at his place and catch up with some high school friends."
"Oh, okay."
"If you want me to pick you up after that just let me know, okay?" She grabs the covers and reaccommodates herself. "Tomorrow we can have some time together and you can tell me about your trip and your friends." She pauses. "Because I have shift again until thursday."
"Okay, mom, that's great. Thank you." I go over to where she is and plant a soft kiss on her cheek. "Have some rest. I love you."
"Love you too, baby." She murmurs and drifts into deep sleep.
I go back to the living room and Jack is typing on his phone.
I fake cough so I get his attention and I successfully make it.
