Nobody really knew what was in the Little Red Cabin. No one really cared and if they did, they were never heard from again. Sitting in the woods west of town, on a path no one ever ventured down. The story of the Little Red Cabin died well almost with every new generation until that fateful day...

"Jojoooooo, are we taking the long way again? Why can't we just walk through the woods?" I complained noticing the fork in the road.

"Ya'  know Ma doesn't like us going over there... she says too many people are goin' missing these days so we gotta stick to the street lights." Jojo said.

"But it's gettin' dark ain't no where gon' be safe so it don't matter and this path is quicker." I was ready to start my argument.

He turned and looked me up and down. "Girl, if you don't start walking and uncross your hands."

"I'm not moving." I sat down on the side of the road. Ten minutes later he silently agreed to go my way.

"If we die, I'll haunt you forever ya' know."

"If we die you can't haunt me." I mumbled scared at the thought of dying. I looked up at the darkening sky. Walking past nothing but trees not even an overgrown sidewalk and silence.  I didn't even notice when the birds stopped chirping and the crickets died down. The leaves rustled with excitement everywhere we stepped so when we stopped silence engulfed us. We didn't plan on seeing a little red cabin but there it was right in front of us, we were young and naïve. Jojo immediately went over and looked in the window.

"Let's go take a look." He screamed behind him as he ran to the cabin. It looked like a fairy tale. I looked in amazement, I didn't seem to notice my brother go missing. Something's off.

I stopped and really looked at my surroundings; these woods don't look anything like home! I panicked and ran into the house after my brother but I couldn't find him.

"Jojo, stop playing" The cabin was small just one room with nothing in it. Nothing. "Jojoooooo"

Once I stepped out the cabin I looked everywhere. I retraced our steps and coming back where the cabin once stood, there was a tree. A tree with red paint.

RUN!

"My brotherrrrrr!" I started crying crying hard until I heard a rustle near me. I ran and ran and ran and ran but I couldn't get out of the forest. It kept getting louder and never ending, louder, closer its like I felt it. "Aghhhhhhhhh" I'm sorry. I started crying. I couldn't stop not even when it came. It looked hideous..nasty...vile. But it's eyes were calm and tamed. It's eyes looked like Jojo. As I stared at it in confusion it looked hurt, betrayed even.

It growled, it's eyes turning black. Just black. Jojo is gone. I have no where to run.

Crack!

I turned to see a whole pack of wolves with crimson eyes, out for blood.

They wanted to hunt.
