"Haha, Ass turd," Leo says sticking his tongue out.

"Stop it, Leo! We're teaching her the right names," Astrid says.

"Yeah, Peeooo! Sissy Astrid and Juniee, play ball with me," Lynn says.

"Hey, what about me," Galaxy chimes.

"You're not cool," she says running off to get the ball.

The ball rolls out on the street as Lynn tries to get it. A car comes right in front of her as Astrid throws her out of the way. Blood, bone, and flesh fill the street with bloody blonde hair.

"NOOO! ASTRID!" I scream in agony.

The blackness takes over as I open my eyelids.

My breathing is heavy, I'm sweating, and tears fill my eyes.

"Astrid...," I whisper while sobbing.

I've been having nightmares of Astrid dying. It's always a different time. The first night, I saw her when she was currently nineteen. She was driving back to see me and a sleepy semi-driver hit her.

I cry against the pillow as I see my dad in the hallway. I freeze and pretend to sleep as I realize it's time to get ready for school.

The first day of my Sophmore year, August 21, 2019.

"You better be up," he says in his annoyed snappy tone.

"Yeah," I say as I shut the door to get dressed.

"Weather is looking nice for Seward, Alaska. I'll wear dark jeans, a dark gray tank-top, and a green, black, and brown flannel around my waist," I say as I make sure my locket is still on.

I grab my purse from Astrid that I've worn all the time.

I place the book she got me in my bag with my binder, notebooks, and computer.

It's taken a while for me to touch anything she got me except the purse and the locket.

I put my long bangs in a fountain as I brush my thick brown hair.

"Juniper," my father says annoyed.

"It's been two minutes," I respond annoyed.

"You're siblings need your help getting ready since you're the oldest sister in this house. Archer is already getting the boys ready. Why the hell do you smell like the woods?" he asks disgustedly.

"Because I don't want to smell like a pretty little flower, dad," I growl.

"I think Junie smells hot, dad. Maybe you should try it to pick up a lady," Leo says as I snort.

Galaxy is already up when I wake-up Lynn and Cassie.

"Girls, I picked out your outfits. Lynn, yours is the red sequin dress that dad bought you for Christmas. Cassie, yours is the tight black skirt, long lace and silk blue-sleeve shirt, and the black sequin belt. You matching shoes are downstairs," I say.

"What about my hair, it looks like a mess," Cassie whines.

I sigh and respond, "It's not like a mess, it is. I can do two dutch braids I guess. Lynn, I can curl yours I guess."

"Wow, you're good at this," they say.

"I've had a few years too practice. I first practiced on Galaxy," I say laughing.

"It was so not funny. I thought you were going to burn my hair off with that straightener," she says rolling her eyes.

"Let's go to breakfast," I say.
