The weather was crisp and refreshing as a breeze went by through my silver Mercedes window. It was relaxing until I pulled up and parked in the Kingston High School student parking lot. I always tense up when I see the wolves from the other three packs in the area. The way we act on campus, though, would make any Human believe we were all human-like them too.
I honestly used to enjoy the idea of the four wolf packs attending the same school. Allowing me to learn more from others that weren't from my Family's pack, but that was when I was a freshman. After my sixteenth birthday last year, my entire world had changed. My Twin brother and I were so excited about that day since it was customary for any werewolf to finally shift.
My twin brother had already shifted at the age of twelve, thanks to our mother's DNA coursing through our veins, but I wasn't blessed. Though that didn't surprise me since he was seven minutes early. He was even excited with me for our sixteenth birthday since it was supposed to be my turn to shift.
How can one claim to be a Werewolf and not shift into a wolf? Though I could sense, instead of turning into a wolf under the full moon, my hair turned silver right before my entire pack's eyes. I even question my wolf for not wanting to come out.
"It's not time yet... sorry, Saisai."
Those were my wolf's only words to me that whole night. My Father, Zeus, Alpha of Blue Karmen Pack, had questioned my mother, the Pack's Luna, Isabella, in front of the entire Pack that had gathered for our shift. My mother claimed it must have been because of the Angelic DNA we had gotten from our non-wolf, angel mother.
I'm still confused and have been for over a year now. Since then, I have done everything in my power to maintain the balance between my special Angelic abilities and my Wolf abilities. Keith, though, on that same day, had found his wolf's mate. So over the past year, I have been extremely jealous of my beloved brother. While my brother was gaining respect and power, I was bullied by humans and wolves, who seemed to think I was a disgrace to my brother.
Soon, a cherry-red Porsche pulled up and parked beside me soon enough. On the driver's side, the window went down and revealed the only ally I had in this Campus of Torment. My best friend Dessa happens to be the Alpha daughter to one of the three local wolf packs, the Red Silvis Pack.
While my Pack's two languages were English and Russian, due to our Main Pack homeland. Dessa's park spoke English and Latin, a very near-dead language. If not Brazilian's version of Spanish, since their Main Pack from was Brazil. "Salve, soror mea." Dessa spoke in Latin, greeting me and calling me her sister.
"Salve, Dessa, see you got a shiny new car this year. No more hand-me-downs from your brother?"
Dessa chuckled at my sassy comment about her old car last year and shrugged. "I crash it over the weekend. Mom told dad, someone had crashed into me and totaled my car. So since I'm Daddy's little princess... Wa-la." She said as she made a hand gesture towards her Porsche.
A stunning redhead was sitting beside her in the passenger seat, chuckling at Dessa's comment about having their Alpha wrap around her finger. "Hi, Dawn." I greeted the redhead that simply smiled and nodded while fixing her hair into a tight red bun.
